Exactly how can he prove it ? People would hardly be advertising the fact that they give away free tickets.They have ahistory of fudging, making up membership numbers, giving away free tickets - what more do you want? - really Xman , you need to start deleting your own posts.

Hmmm, ok. Wow. I thought you of all people would understand how difficult it is to be a moderator. Multiply that by 1000 when trying to moderate a site like this where trolling is the primary goal, let alone doing it on your own.
But you've obviously now cast your vote that you want me removed as moderator, which also means the majority on this site dont want me as moderator anymore. It's a hard enough job when you have support let alone when most people dont even want you.
So thats it for me. Sorry Beaussie, I gave it a go but I'm not willing to spend this much of my free time deal with this amount of shit when the majority don't want my assistance.

Except it literally is both ways in this case.
Origin is for all intents and purposes played by NRL players under NRL rules, and players serve penalties from the NRl judiciary, although being nominally organised by the ARLC. Origin is representative football wth national selection on the line, it cannot be simply exhibition at that point if there is soimething to be gaimed from it. It gets exhibition status from being a series of showpiece games.
Origin cannot be compared to a soccer friendly where nothing rides on the result, or to those overseas jaunts the AFL occasionally sends a team on to London or Canada or wherever.

Bit harsh Wookie - haven't seen you come down on RL guys and their BS - how can it be SOO if you can choose who you want to play for and it may have players from other states and country's playing Wookie? It's either rep matches or exhibition matches but it is definitely not SOO!!!

It would seem now that we have a problem. Xman appears to be leaving his moderator position over an argument in semantics. What does it matter if State of Origin is truly SOO or not? One thing it's not is an exibition game. It's a representative game that is critical to the selection process for the Kangaroos and it contains the passion of NSW v QLD no matter where the players originated from.
