I don't know about deflection but used it may be - common usage well thats debatable - what this has to do with football only you know. Swans, I grew up in Sydney as well, I am not a gambler either yet I knew it. You must have lead a very insular life to never of have heard of the term. We do come to expect that of AFL followers, they are blinkered andanything that exists outside of AFL doesn't exist for them. Even when it's shown that it a real term they still try and explain away why it shouldn't. Ummmmmm.............. strange lot these AFL fans.

2.RL per hr is worth more than AFL per hr..

Also, Victorians would list storm as their nrl club ... Most ... And when there's a big event on .. Would watch it... Like any big event really. There just isn't the hatred of nrl . Possibly because it's not a threat I guess and thus no need for insecurity. I wonder if I could say the same for nrl supporters in Sydney who constantly talk of a war and invasion.
