Really answers my question - it's not a World Cup like Soccer or RU - it's Australia, New Zealand and padded out sides with players from Australia and New Zealand - at least with the AF International Cup (No Australian side) the sides are composed of players from THAT country not someone else's country making up numbers! Thats what makes this competition a laughing stock!

It's not there because it would dominate the competition, little boy! The AFL have the sense to make sure the other countries are given a chance to develop. Which is more than can be said for rugby league!

The RLWC must be restricted. If you are born in a country, that's who you play for. No excuses. The RLWC don't have that rule, and that's why it's a joke.

yea, because AFL has no presence outside of Australia. that's the point, no one in the world cares about your abortion of a sport, now i'm not saying RL is the most popular sport in the world but at least it can have a world cup where australia is allowed to compete, and lose to other countries that are very strong too.

Embarrassment? That's the NRL. No team in Adelaide or Perth and only one in a sports mad Melbourne. The AFL has teams in every mainland capital city including TWO in Sydney as well as one on the Gold Coast!
