I've only ever got free public transport coming home from 3 games late at night after the footy and a dozen or so beers.

Thank fuck the transit officers weren't around, pretty long hike from Central to Wollongong.

stop talking garbage. Taking one eels game as an example of their crowds is laughable. There were 4 players retiring in that game so thats the reason. If not they would get those crowds regularly, and clearly they dont. They averaged less than Port adelaide so your comment they are better than the suns, power and giants is clearly garbage. In fact given together the suns and giants averaged near 24k they are also better than the eels. Add to that the eels have regular local derbies while the suns and giants only have 2 per year.

And i wasnt using public transport as an excuse. Why would I? Carlton v Ess had a higher crowd while Carlton was the wooden spooner. You claimed this didnt happen. No excuses needed im afraid.

where did i say they have no support? But just like all NRL clubs, support rarely translates to decent crowds. This game was a one off which is pretty clear given it was the highest attendance for a home and away NRL game in Sydney for decades. That speaks volumes.
