Badminton team in, 5 players all are from Victoria. 33/168 = 20% Victorian. Looks like we are getting to the level which would be statistically normal for 25% of the population.

it would be interesting to see the number of NSW people in the Olympic squad. It might be a fair amount less then 35%, which is about the percentage of Australians from NSW.

Might be interesting to see the number of New South Welshman in the cricket, union, soccer, league and other sports over the last thirty years compared to Victoria. In cricket and soccer which in theory are not meant to be state parochial NSW wins in a canter.

The Kookaburra team (mens Hockey) is in. Now most of them were from WA so I looked into it and most of them live in WA but they were born else where. If you are a Kookaburra you must have to move to WA to train with the mens team. Im not sure how to list them. Should I just list them all as being from WA or should I list them as their state of origin or should I just ignore the results for this team?

Many of the teams have the same issue eg Anna Meares is QLDer but shows as SA because that is where unit trains

NSw is well represented in cricket and soccer but Victoria is in tennis and golf.

I am going to ignore the Hockey teams for now. Most of them are listed from WA both the mens and womans.
Totals for Victorians is now 46/214 = 21% Victorian.

I checked about 8 of the 11 VICs all but one was born or did their schooling in Vic. There is one you would claim was from SA, however this is made up by other cases of Victorians who now represent other states.
