News Limited owned the club. They also had a major presence on the NRL board. Perfect for a cover up. You can't deny the possibility, and to do so would be a major faux pas on your part. The only reason they were found out in the end was because the other clubs complained!
It's impossible for a club to be successful in just it's second season unless;
1. They are spending way more than the competition on players
2. The competition is so weak it's easy to break into
Are you saying it's option 2? That's only way you can get around it, you know!

Yes KE - quite a while. I have been busy throwing my money away on hookers and football gambling. I have backed the Brisbane Lions to win the 2013 Flag at odds of 1000 - 1. If it gets up, I plan to retire to a brothel in the Seychelles!
Good to see TPLG hasn't added even a single digit to his IQ. I hear rumours that Beaussie is even fatter than before - surely that's not even possible??

What I cant understand is why the Swanns crowds are so low this year when they are top of the ladder.
Is this because GWS have started? Very strange the Sydney sporting crowd.
You should be proud of the swanns doing so well in the most popular sporting comp in Australia
Oh & you should watch the Swanns (1st) vs WC (2nd) on the weekend, it should be a cracker!!!

TPLG is an idiot but we all know that anyway.
But I will try to explain why the storm in 1999 were not cheats.
The fact is boggerboy, the storm came into the comp when there was no bloody cap because some clubs had merged or been kicked out, another fact is, other teams like the eels had spent $9 million on their squad 2 years before and they would not have had a hope in hell of getting down to a 4 million cap in that time.
St George Illawarra in that same year the Storm beat them in the GF had a playing squad worth $8 million+ because they merged, were they cheats too because everyone else was spending that much?
Idiot.

No, I didn't know that there wasn't a cap then. Thank you for explaining that. But my point still stands - they spent like it was going out of fashion and that's the only reason they won the flag in their second year.
Pete, Sydney's crowds are down because of the redevelopment at the SCG.
That's all from me.
