Ah cos, why no more evidence then? It doesnt matter how long it took for European explorers to settle in different areas "across" Australia you silly numbat. The facts are Marngrook was never seen to be played anywhere but in a small section of the SE corner of this massive island. If it was played in more areas than this, there'd be evidence of it. But there's none and therefore we know it wasnt played across Australia, and that it was only played in the SE corner.

I know that deep down you know I'm right guys so lets just leave it at that and give the littlest vfl fan his best point. I'm quite happy for this pampering and assistance to be provided to the needy/'special' cases we have as members. There is too much doubt In this debate. While it seems likely the claim is true, statements by the claimant like:

The fact that the game, or a version thereof, was played in two distinct areas miles from each other, it follows that it is possible that it was played in many other places

cast some doubt over the evidence. Furthermore, the ambiguous use of the term "across" makes the intent of the original claim unclear.
