Another ridiculous post. Crowds in Sydney, Perth and Brisbane remain steady with huge crowds continuing through the gates in Melbourne. Adelaide I will admit is a worry. That is being addressed however with the Adelaide Oval redevelopment.Raiderdave wrote:noOnions wrote:A new TV deal will lead to bigger crowds?? they're getting bigger on their own .. great product we peddle
they;ve double in the last quarter century
meanwhile
if it wasn't for Melbourne .... AFL crowds would be in serious trouble
Melbourne is the only city in the country where AFL crowds are .. well steady .. maybe rising slightly
other then that
they're down everywhere else & have been sliding that way for some time
oh dear![]()
as that old bloke off Dads Army used to say
Don't Panic !! Don't Panic !!![]()
BTW, did you know there is something like a ten year waiting list for membership of the West Coast Eagles. Crowds are so strong for the AFL in the west that the WA government has announced plans for a new 70,000 seat stadium.
Meanwhile, how are those Melbourne Storm crowds going? Lack of Victorian talent on the field is really hurting now that the novelty of the Storm making finals and grand finals regualarly has worn off.
