QRL calls for Titans financial inquiry

QRL supremo Ross Livermore has called for the NRL to launch a full inquiry into the Titans’ finances following fresh revelations the club owes three entities more than $25,000 in unpaid debts.
Livermore’s plea came as a leading Queensland-based jersey manufacturer, Triple Play, warned the Titans faced another lawsuit if it did not pay money the company has been chasing for five months.
As the Titans continue a legal dispute with former builder Simcorp over their troubled $22 million Centre of Excellence project, The Sunday Telegraph can reveal:
* The Queensland Rugby League claims it is owed $18,000 in unpaid development fees by the Titans, whom Livermore says are the only NRL club yet to pay up;
* Triple Play is owed $5775 for guernseys provided in January to the Titans’ under-16s and under-18s squads;
* Another company, Total Hire, says it will never deal with the Titans again after alleging it was forced to write off $1500 in bad debts when the Gold Coast failed to pay for equipment hire at the club’s Centre of Excellence site; and
* The Titans are attempting to resolve a dispute with the Queensland Government, which began legal proceedings last month seeking $226,278 in unpaid payroll tax.
The series of outstanding monies raises further queries over the fiscal health of the Titans, who have twice sought advances on their NRL club grant totalling $2.3 million.

What was that Raiderdave that you said about NRL handouts not existing? Hmm, lying again.
advances on their grant ( the pot of profits that goes to all clubs same or similar to profits shared **** all AFL clubs )
not hand outs on top of this
like almost all bumbling AFL clubs receive
Why do the Titans need a advances in the first place? Things aren't as rosy as you would like us to believe on the Gold Coast when it comes to the Titans. Looking at their forms this season, no doubt they will need another advance/bailout by seasons end too.

Getting back on topic though, the Gold Coast Titans financial woes must be a real worry for the NRL now that the AFL's Suns are in town with almost double their membership and much bigger crowds.
they get nothing more then the grant from the NRL .. like all clubs
News Ltd own them
& as a privately owned team their owners can spend what eva they want on them
Hang on, don't News Ltd own 50% of the NRL too?
Handouts to the Melbourne Storm therefore come from the NRL pot of money too yeah? Imagine the Storm without News Ltd and the NRL pumping millions of dollars in annually. They would be on the Central Coast tomorrow if that was the case.
Oh btw, how are Penrith going financially. Better than the Titans and Storm one would hope.

....
they'll need to be competing for the 8 next year
or they'll be forgotten about pretty quickly
if its 5 years then their doomed
& what website ?
In 30 years time they will still be outrated by SBS re-runs

In 30 years time the NRL will be dead because they failed to raise their salary cap and failed to stop the bleeding of players to the AFL.
At no time anywhere has an SBS re-run outrated an AFL game.

Back on the topic of the Suns vs the Titans.
Both clubs played today at home with both teams struggling and both taking on smaller interstate teams at home.
Gold Coast Suns vs Western Bulldogs -
16,149
Gold Coast Titans vs Cronulla Sharks -
12,997
Way to go Suns.

they are half of the partnership
but if you think the ARL would allow some of the NRL's " money " outside of the grant to go to a club privately owned by News Ltd .. then you're stupidier then you already appear
Storms Money comes from their owners .. News .. not the NRL
Penrith ?
last time I looked penrith don't have annual turn over of 40 million dollars .. or 40K members ..
Yet
are probably doing no better ,
or worse then 6 AFL clubs ... who do
how does that happen
who are these gumbies who run these clubs
its embarrasing

NRL to raise their cap in 2013
no more players other then the 2 who've gone will go
SBS re runs have always outrated the Swans in Sydney
& would triple the number of veiwers for any AFL telecast without the swans in it in Sydney
the Essendon V Hawthorn game Live on 7mate in Sydney on Friday
attracted just 21K veiwers
gawd stuff me thats horrid
the AFL.. an utter joke
