The dedicated AFL channel wasn't maintained because Foxtel lost the rights to 7 and 10 in the last deal. They got some games back as an on sell but that wasn't enough to bring the channel back. Now that they have the rights back, lo and behold the channel returns.

RL has NEVER had a dedicated channel. Fox Sports is not a dedicated channel and never has been. It has always shown all sports.

Stop lying. Only the AFL had a dedicated football channel on not only Optus but also Foxtel. TV networks clearly dont see much value in Rugby League when they are all fighting for a piece of the massive AFL pie.

It did not flop. It was forced off the air by the previous TV deal that left Foxtel out. How many times does that fact have to be repeated for you to understand?
