not a blimp in the sunshine state lol
Oh I don't know about that. If the Lions lose to Melbourne Friday night Brisbane will be VERY interested in the game - given that should Collingwood win they'll replace the Lions in the top four costing them the double chance. So they'll be barracking for Carlton, especially if the Bulldogs beat Hawthorn. The only positive out of it will be the Gabba would host an elimination final.
yeah nah, that would be like the Victorian Public going banana's over the Storm round 25 game to make top 4

I think you over estimate things here
Well let's see. Sure it won't attract THAT much interest, but it won't be ignored.

it is up against
Broncos v Storm which is looking at 40k - 45k plus at Suncorp.
this is the talk of the town.

lets see,
I expect 35k to 30k at GABBA too
Game is on 7mate.

Yeah well the bloody idiots at Seven in Brisbane should be putting it on the main channel.

Anyway - I'm talking about after the fact. As in Brisbane Lions fans tuning in on Sunday for the MCG game. Assuming THAT is on the main channel! It should be - unless I'm mistaken, that's the Seven game while the other two games are Fox Footy games.

was reported yesterday that theres only about 50 restricted viewing GA tickets left to Suncorp
if most members turn up , it could crack 50K

biggest club game in Brissie of any code since 2018

would get destroyed by the NRL
so 7 will concede defeat here & hide it on a secondary channel

won't look as bad

Be interesting to see who gets the biggest crowd re: Lions and Melbourne and Storm and Broncos. 'in reality it shouldn't even be close but there is every chance the AFL could get a higher crowd which would be amazing. If the Lions game had 10,000 less I'd still call that being good for the AFL.

Will wait and see.

Broncos will. Stadium capacity is 52,000 and its heading past 40,000 already. Max capacity for AFL at the Gabba is 41,000

No it won't. The NRL might win but it will be a lot closer than you think.....oh wait. You can't think. So the point is moot.

Still interesting that AFL, that is apparently scorned and no one interested in - gets 30,000 plus crowd - particularly when up against another high profile game such as Broncos Storm . Tells me AFL and aussie Rules doing okay in Brisbane.

Nah you said nobody in QLD cares about AFL. Unless the figure is 0 in Brisbane for the match you should leave. *Insert childish insults.

Bullshit. Just as many NSW expats at Lang Park as there would be Vic expats at the Gabba. Actual QLDers would be about the same.

And no bets on actual numbers. I don't do that shit because it will be too easy for you to skirt around it and welch, and you will.
