Think you are confusing the NRL with the AFL again. NRL ratings drop per game during SOO because of the focus that SOO brings and top players being unavailable. It is not about the reduced number of games.

But in the end it doesn't matter if the total NRL package is used as reference point.
Oh oh NRL got pants again on Friday night - ememarella is clearly very upset that his widdle NRL is suffering at the TV box - suck it up princess!
Ah right on time ,stupid jumps in .
When the Fri night Regionals are added(av 400K) then we win again.
how about the AFL regionals they are not included as well
NT and regional SA are not even covered in the TV ratings.
so meh AFL wins again, in this flooded system, that you bed wetters cling so dearly on to :(/

that does kind of lend credence to the idea that Origin is an event in its own right rather than a part of the season, simply because those ratings arent reflected at any other time.
You mean like your Grand Final Wookie?

Regardless of having ratings much larger than average , aren't these ratings, never the less, the reason that respective networks are paying out big money?

The ARLC negotiates everything. Are we now trying to use organisational structures to divert the argument? Perhaps I should have said the rugby league package. They are the same players and match officials.

And pants pulled down? When does the nonsense of the 5 capitals end as being used as a basis for comparing codes?

Dear Swans Forever the issue with the 5 city ratings is they don't include the regionals for NSW/QLD/ACT which have a significant impact on the NRL ratings as the Wookie can attest to. This is because around half the NRL supporter base live in these areas.

Quietly confident that Canberra,Townsville,Newcastle,Cairns etc are part of the Australian islands

Think you need to focus a bit more and don't get too paranoid about the reach of the NRL as clearly it distresses you.

Wasn't that 5 years ago??? Are you forever going to live in the past? You really delude yourself - aside of which why shouldn't there be a footy field at birch grove after all soccer is a business in this country that relies on juniors to prop up its a-league and international teams - I would think that ANYONE would be opposed to a code profiteering on children - but obviously your not!

Thought this was a TV ratings debate thread. Just another case of change the debate/argument when it is going pear shaped.
