Just read the rest of your post . There are 8 games played on Australian tv... 16 teams. If you want to add people who are watching in nz you are having a different discussion to which code is most watched on Australian tv.
There might be 8 matches played but ratings are excluded for one of the teams. matches should reflect this, instead of 8 matches there should only be 7.5.
It's always amusing pissycat it's only ever a fair comparison for you when the figures suit your argument! Anything out side of that comparison is unfair

AS IVE SAID BEFORE >>>>

just makes the figures for rugby league look better>>

with 15 AUSTRALIAN NRL TEAMS v 18 AUSTRALIAN AFL TEAMS

love to see the figure if NRL added an extra 3 Australian teams and gave N.Z the boot....
WOW :thumbleft:

It's still 8 games a week being shown in Australia. Add nz in when just arguing ratings in general. My opposition is when people use the figures to say it rates better in Australia.

We don't add ratings for cricket in India to the Australian figures when Australia play India.

I know this Freddy...

just saying it is than 15 AUS to 18 AUS teams

yes 8 NRL 9 AFL

an example the Big Bash Cricket.
"if there was a NZ team.."

and it was Sydney Sixers v Brisbane Heat
will rate higher in there home markets..
to the rest of the cities in Australia..

A Sydney Sixers against a NZ franchise
does not have that HOME MARKET in Australia of people watching..

so naturally this game does not rate as high...

hopefully you get my theory..

It's not hard to understand ( unless you're a fumbler)
There are no home viewers in AUSt when the Warriors play .

So yes it's basically only 15 teams v 18 AFL teams .

On the first I guess we will have to agree to disagree.

On the second.,. AFL kills nrl in just about every metric in Australia . On tv you have had some wins but it's not the be all and end all. Crowd attendance ... AFL. Friday night ratings ... AFL. Grand final ... AFL. Finals .... AFL. Home and away ... AFL. The only area where rl blows AFL out of the water is origin .... and rep football in general. But more for AFL ...membership ... AFL. Revenue ... AFL. Expenditure ... AFL. National coverage ... AFL. Grassroots coverage ... AFL. Presence in non traditional markets .. AFL. Growth of Grassroots:juniors .in non traditional mArkets ... AFL.

So you had a higher cumulative audience due to having a better rep competition.

debatable given the NRL's own figures (according to Wookie)

Anyway, go ahead and introduce 2 new teams and see how you go
