Yep, there's much less need for it in the community. But, of course there are times when it is totally acceptable in community too. If some guy attacks me, my missus, or mates, or for that matter any other innocents then I would be only too happy to throw a few combos to their noggin to put em down and out for a while Its the quickest and most appropriate form of justice - quite natural, quite beautiful really.

Violence has been a fundamental aspect of all human soc's and cultures since men walked on two feet...and prior to this also. Violence is natural. We should embrace it when it is used for good, like those in RL lauding Gallens instinct and pride. Nate myles knew he was a cheating ***** and pretty much thanked gallen for belting him into submission. Twas a jolly good show all round with everyone winning. =D> =D> =D>

If he was drunk then at least there would have been a semi valid reason for the way he acted. Gallens reason for hitting another man was as valid as the time some random punched me at the bar because I got served before him. They both thought that the situation was unfair and decided to lash out at the injustice. Gallen unfortunately is a role model and now there's a whole bunch of kids who think that when injustice strikes punching someone is justified. Sad but true.

Generally at a bar and this was the case, there is no line, there's a bunch of people sitting or standing around waiting to be served or drinking.
Unfortunately it's not the end of ....... Because everyone's snapping points are different, particularly kids who lack that natural moral compass (and there are a lot of them). Some people think that if you look at someones girl friend or talk to her then that's good enough to earn you a punch. Hopefully it doesn't but gallens actions may open up a can of vigilantes, who feel they are justified to punch that other guy who got served first, because he hadn't been waiting at the bar as long. Whether he likes it or not the nsw captain is a role model for kids who will act in a similar manner.

I support fisticuffs in RL in marngrook in ice hockey, in gaelic footy in all contact sports in which men compete against eachother in a physical and violent manner. It's natural and when its about standing up for one self and or ones teammates, its nothing short of stunningly beautiful :D

What a wonderful culture in RL you must be so proud these are the attributes of your sport - I just hope for your sake you arn't on the receiving end of this culture! Seriously though I think the AFL fans are either massively jealous or don't understand what actually occurred. Or both.

Myles was leading into tackles with his head, myles was twisting knees intending to injure. Nowi don't know if you AFL turkeys have seen Nate myles in action but think Barry hall X 3. Now lets just be perfectly clear here. If your and your teammates were in danger of being seriously injured by this ***** and his actions were not being acted on by police, refs etc. I think you'd be happy for someone like gallen to courageously stand up for what is right before someone got seriously hurt by a headbutt or ligament damage to their knee. Myles didn't cause any more controversy the entire game. And ill say it again. He knew what he was doing was wrong. The refs didn't. Myles basically thanked gallen for knocking him into submission. Everyone won. A great origin moment and something which should be used in school anti bullying program's. =D>

So KE and Dave are too stupid to realise that when sporting heroes are glorified for fighting this encourages similar "tough" behaviour in the community. Australia has a BIG issue with youth violence, especially when alcohol is involved. Telling them its against the law but applauding their heroes for it brings an inconsistent message. Who do you think they believe? The authorities or the people hailing their heroes as real men?
