there are racial issues in the AFL, I've never claimed otherwise. But there are in all walks of life. I dont believe Goodes case is one of them though

yes domestic violence is a society issue. The fact so many cases occured in one sport in one off season makes it remarkable

and NRLOLOL was spot on here. The AFL havent had sponsors threaten to remove support for racial issues like the NRL did for the last offseason debacle. Clearly the AFL sponsors dont see the AFL's issues as anywhere near as damaging

2. As has been stated there have been countless other racist events in the AFL since.

I’ve caught you on here making things up in order to suggest the booing wasn’t racially motivated. Unless you can reasonably explain why you go to such lengths then we can only really believe that racism in the AFL is unremarkable to you nlol because you hold deep seated discriminatory and/or racist views towards Aboriginal people.

Your primary argument that Goodes was a dirty player has been debunked by his receipt of best and fairest awards, the Australian of the year (yeah like that award would go to a dirty player) and the low avg amount of frees he gets against him per game

Your secondary argument that Goodes was just a bit of a flog so deserved it is debunked by the large numbers of flogs who make it to AFL never recieiving the same treatment. No one can deny the treatment of Goodes was and is still today completely unprecedented.

Your argument that other players stand up and don’t get it is debunked by Michael long receiving death threats for his stance and the fact no other player in history has had the same platform or stood so firm by publicly outing a racist from the crowd. Additionally Jetta was also booed for giving a war dance in wa, you pretend that never happened but the audio proves you wrong.

Very distasteful stuff nlol, the first step is acknowledging. It exists. You can’t even take that step. How weak.

I think we can all agree the primary issue of late is AFL crowd racism. Tho we often are seeing racists popping up at all levels of the institution it’s the folk who go to watch who concern the current discussion re Goodes. Last I heard sponsors support the AFL not the crowds who pay to go to the AFL. If sponsors were putting their hard earned into promoting and funding AFL crowds they would have fled long ago ya dill.

In a week where the game’s leading Indigenous players took a stance against the national anthem and Greg Inglis was honoured for his State of Origin achievements, Inglis’ family has been racially vilified by trolls.

Police and the NRL integrity unit have been dealing with the vile, racist attacks on Inglis’ five-year-old son.

Sally Inglis revealed the racist remarks on her Instagram page. They appeared after she posted a comment to celebrate her son’s birthday. We won’t repeat what was written because it is disgraceful and repeating it only encourages these morons to continue with their shameful behaviour. The comments continued to the point where Sally took the matter to the police.

The NRL and Rabbitohs football manager Shane Richardson have been assisting her.

‘‘Greg and I made the decision many years ago that ignoring racism is accepting it,’’ Sally said. ‘‘So I posted something. We want our kids to know that we took a stand for them and that it’s important to stand up to racism.

‘‘The comments got quite weird, so I talked to police. They are checking on me and the kids. They suggested that I put my page on private, but that is giving in. I don’t want to do that, nor does Greg.
