Derp, it's a little history lesson for some in here who have spread BS around for years that RL only got big in PNG in the 80's when Packer started showing RL on TV, Cos789 being one of the main BS artists.

This shows that RL has been the biggest code for a lot longer and soccer and AFL were not good enough to make it their own.

It does no such thing. In fact it shows that there were concerns about it's violent nature back then compared to both soccer and Australian Rules. There is no evidence in that commentary that it was "big".

All I said was it's funny how the comp is called Super League, and it is seeing as France have a team in the fully Professional European Super League.
