the live NRL was on at 4.30pm over there too
& almost as many people watched it there at that time
as Sydneysiders watching the VFL at 7.30pm

So the Hawks v Freo was the highest rating game of the night last night

If those particular 2 NRL games were televised in isolation live instead of being delayed by 2 hours in the opposite market
both would have rated at near to 1.2 Million each
the VFL simply cannot attract numbers like that regularly ..like the NRL can
even with 2 forms of coverage for the VFL
on Fridays the NRL is beating it on just 1 form
end of

Well Buttman even if we used half a live game with half a 2hour delayed game starting after 10. we still wouldnt be very far behind you - how pathetic.

According to the Financial reports of the AFL and NRL
16 team NRL 221m a year, the NRL adds a team in Brisbane and Perth and the broadcast revenue jumps by 20m a year minimum.
18 team AFL 225m a year
