And last year? I'd say it was the same. Note that Perth had a 3 hr delay on every FN for years

How many AFL games, half delayed would get 1.4m?

Half delayed? What are you on about? Its still prime time.
Nor will it be 1.4m once regionals come in. The eelong v Essendon game last year recorded well over 1.5m and Perth got the game at 5.30pm and on a secondary digital channel.

Rnd 1 game 2 FN
@MediaweekAUS: Fri TV #NRL Nine 538k (Syd 334k Bri 205k) GEM 71k (Mel 55k Ade 4k Per 12k)
Wow, what a plummet from last night. Wasnt this supposed to be a decent match between two of the leagues big clubs? Less than 19k attendance and barely 1m national ratings, WITH NO AFL COMPETITION!
What a start to the NRLs year! Smith must be so proud!

Oh boy!!! look at those terrible brisbane ratings
Looks like atleast 100 thousand brisbanites converted to AFL over the off season. I'll give it 2 more years before league is dead here.

Was thinking it would be good to have a new thread for each round of the season with all the ratings for that round in the opening post edited of course as the figures come through. Would make it easy and quick to get figures from the past as a means of referencing etc. Thinking this thread could be more of a general discussion thread. What do you guys think? I've started a new thread for the NRL in Round 1 to get your thoughts on how this may work.

Agree. We need an easy way to find previous ratings, and that way would be easiest. However I'm worried it will be overrun by idiotic comments so maybe the threads should be left as ratings figures only, and this thread used as discussion.

I agree those Brisbane figures are horrible, but Sydneys not much better.
What a terrible start of the season for the NRL

I was at the casino last night, and went into the sporting lounge, and there was hardly anyone there watching the NRL game on the big screen
Even the A League Section had a bigger turnout

thats a regular occurrence, when you go to the pub or casino, League is often playing on the big screen but no one is watching it. does that count for the overall ratings?
