A bunch of amateur singers proved they were no match for professional footballers after the NRL Grand Final crushed The X Factor in the ratings on Sunday.

Dave, what happened to your full week of bragging about getting near 4m??
Your GF in prime time was pumped by an AFL GF shown in a ratings dead spot.

Hmm, up against the worst ratings period of the week. How many other programs rate even over a few hundred thousand on Saturday arvo? None! That's why prime time is called prime time! Its the time you schedule shows for best ratings because people are home from work, outings, sport, shopping etc.

Man up you dickhead. We all know the ratings were well below what you expected them to be. Your prime time Grand Final was crushed by a Saturday afternoon Grand Final. If the AFL Grand Final was in prime time, it would easily be the most watched program annually. End of.

The head of nine stated that having the game start on Sunday night would result in 15 to 20 percent higher ratings as it would grab the casual viewer who wouldn't normally watch.
Dave is right when he says all those that were going to watch the AFL grand final watched it. Same with the nrl grand final. However, it is those ambivalent viewers that a 7pm time slot on a Sunday night that they are after.

Except for the fact that there was another good show on Sunday night. regardless, the NRL will just have to endure the hardships of having to wear the Gold, Silver and bronze medals around its neck at the same time.
