How hard is putting a ball over a line & saying that's a try Terry.

I mean if that's not the easiest way to score in sport then I don't know what is.

At least AFL & like soccer there is a skill involved in between goals. Unlike Rugby/Rugby Union where all they have to do is throw the ball backwards & run into other players till they put a ball over a massively long line. Wake me up when that crap is over.
if that is what you think Rugby Union and Rugby League is like, and easy to do (your lost me) how could i have a forum discussion with that)

700k approx figure between the 9 network and fox / streaming..

I wonder what the NRL would be hoping is a par average for the womens league
over all games across a weekend.

Day games mid day games night games.
currently figures are really good and quite valuable if they can keep going.

there is no reason a NRLW season with rep duties could be $50 to $80mill a year.

NRLW will get nothing close to to these figures because most of the country have zero interest in this game, preferring AFLW which despite its flaws has improved since its inception. . Company brands only pay big money for national exposure despite some fair ratings. at times for both codes.
Broadcasters always pay a massive amount more for AFL rights than NRL rights, the NRLW TV ratings are irrelevant and won't change this situation anytime soon.

it does not matter if half the country has zero interest in the womens League.
it still commands good figures..

do you remember seeing womens state of origin 3 games out rated all 3 AFL Friday Night fixtures..
now that is saying something..

Womens league is in a good postion to push its worth.. Which the Broadcasters are currently getting for FREE

The SANFL Women’s League has become a huge breeding ground for AFLW talent but the financial investment isn’t floating back from the big league, putting the state league clubs under increasing pressure in their bids to continue to produce star talent.

18 teams is becoming a big burden and Vietnam push of the dollar

I think you are cherry picking

Very very rare for NRLW to outrate AFL

I watched some NRLW on Gem today, small almost non existing crowd.

No atmosphere.
No excitement.
Not pretty to watch
And I doubt the ratings.
I ended up watching a lawn bowls tournament instead

NRLW owns nothing.

It's free.
It's worthless to broadcasters
Broadcasters pay nothing for NRLW
Not worth paying a penny for.

If some big $ dollar deal is signed next year ( highly unlikely ) then I am wrong until then NRLW is nothing but a freeby.

AFLW is worth more $ dollars to sponsors due to its national reach all over Australia.
AFLW has improved each year, looking forward to this season.

Bbutt , the forum mo^ng
the aflolw is worth nothing to broadcasters as well .... they pay nothing for it because it doesn't rate .... anywhere
even in the dumb bum states
Its going backwards & will remain free for broadcasters because it adds nothing to the deal....

the NRLW rates double what the fumbling women do & will be split from the mens comp , along with its origin series
( 3.2 million veiwers for 3 games )
& be sold for big $$ in the next deal ( thats what we're talking about dummy)
the present deal was signed during covid & broadcasters got the NRLW for free , they won't be so lucky next time
at least 100 mill for 5 years

It is worthless ???

3 Origin games equivalent to 5 AFL Friday Night Games. totalling 3.2mill viewers plus.

Womens Origin on FTA rating around 150k average.

Womens games doubling the figures of WAFL

an expanding league.

Broadcasters this is worth the equivalent to A LEAGUE
around 25mill a season at worse.

just a question if NRL bundle the deal or do it separate.

AFLW opening match tonight.

Swans 'vs magpies live from North Sydney oval.

Well supported, good crowd.

When you consider the modest inroads AFL has made in the Northern states you would have to agree 60 % of Australians prefer or follow AFL.
That is 60 % and growing.

It is NOT 50/50 as some would claim.
