Re: Fight Club - Football Crowds Thread
I remember The Age writing an article about this last year with a whole list of reasons as to why sell outs don't reach capacity. One of the reasons, apparently, was when the game sells out some people who have already purchased a ticket end up not going because they don't like the big crowds!

Re: Fight Club - Football Crowds Thread
The issue is that the crowds make it hard to drive to the ground and get easy parking. Personally I feel that the atmosphere more then makes up for it.Stewie wrote:Exactly my thoughtsXman wrote:These people should follow NRLStewie wrote:I remember The Age writing an article about this last year with a whole list of reasons as to why sell outs don't reach capacity. Why would you drive to the game in a city where transport is so accessible?piesman2011 wrote:The issue is that the crowds make it hard to drive to the ground and get easy parking. This one game may make up 90% of the NRLs total round attendance this weekend.
90% of 130,000 is
117,000
wow
that would be impressive

used to be the VFL could get more to a game then an entire round of the old NSWRL
now
it can't
even on its best day
Swines games could handle all Sydney NRL matches by themselves
& now games invloving the swines .. its premier.. are more then doubled by single NRL attendances
RL .. growing
VFL... declining

haha. This is such a great self-convinced victory. It's like an obese couch potato running the 100m in 7 minutes, having previously run it in 8, and claiming victory over Usain Bolt for running 9.47 seconds instead of 9.45 seconds.Raiderdave wrote:Drac wrote:I love that getting 130k to an entire round of football is a source of gleeful optimism fo you.
