Got any examples of deaths in RL via biffo?

The link between head injury and death is irrefutable. Any attempt to reduce unnecessary head injury is a good thing.

So you got no examples of death in RL via biffo? And seeing your full of information can you inform us of the chances of death via stomping to the head? More or less chance than a fist to the head? Cause using your theory the AFL's light stance on stomping will encourage more and more players to use it.

Don't be a tool. Suggesting there havent been reports of death due to fights on the field doesn't justify fighting. Just like my example about solariums, or smoking, or any other risky behaviour shows.

Ok. So there's been no deaths from biffo on the footy field but, biff, or more accurately king hits, are considered lethal. Fine by me, I've never endorsed king hits in this thread. But once again Helen your key argument to ban all biffo because it's dangerous is at odds with the very nature of the sport you supposedly love. Please watch the following two flicks.




And there's thousands more where this came from, all occurring in normal play and causing the most horrific injuries. These impacts are far more likely to cause death than the good ol fashioned toe to toe biffo which I am endorsing.

Why?

1. Because they occur more often than biffo.
2. Because they are within the rules.
3. Because, as in good ol fashioned biffo, team mates do not run in to stop what is occurring.
4. Because most often, players are completely unprepared for the impact, like for example, king hits.

So again Helen, I urge you to find a new sport to watch if you are that concerned about dangerous head injuries. Or, if you had any consistency, you'd start ranting hysterical about the need to stop all contact in the game.

Its not limited to violence on the field. It extends to the example it sets for other leagues and the community in general.

A poor response Helen. But to be consistent, then I imagine you'd be against violence on tv and in video games?

As for the example sportsmen set for the community can you find us proof that the BAD behaviour of sportsmen is emulated by the "community in general"? Cause this is what you're saying is true. I'll help you out before you go searching. There is no evidence People generally arent that stupid Helen. They admire sportsmen for their skill in the sport and emulate that rather than their king hits and other bad behaviour. This was a case of the biffo going way overboard and proves that children can't be allowed to do it. That brawl showed a lack of control. The Junior RL showed the foresight to lay it out plainly. Kids, don't copy the adults!

That's the real issue here. Let the adults go because it'll never get that bad (to the point that teams get banned). They know when to stop. Children don't. That's the complexity you don't get, X!

I get the complexity all right. You are right in saying kids dont know when to stop. They copy actions not words, and the actions of their heroes speaks volumes.

Striker this wasnt contrary to my view. It was however contrary to the view Xman is trying to persuade himself and others that I have. I am not for violence and biffo willy nilly and over the top, as I've explained umpteen times before in this thread.

I agree with your other points except your "Kid's, dont copy adults!" command. Do you really think the kids are consciously thinking 'Ima gunna copy big Gordy Tallis' when they get in a blue? This isnt whats going on at all imo. But yes the sanctions must be there when things get out of control. In RL they're there and working quite well, as you point out.

you clearly dont have kids. They will copy actions over obeying words every time.

Again, kids watch you behavior, not your words. Telling kids violence isnt ok but then using voilence will never work.
