Our Qtr finals semi finals and prelim finals have out rated the AFL's equivalent so far.............. =D> =D> =D>

And now that the AFL GF has rated about 3.5m they are in 4th spot in 2013 no medal to speak of.........................................lets wait for the NRL GF and see if we cannot relegate them to 5th spot................

In the five capital city ratings, the AFL averaged 2.69 million compared to the NRL’s 2.09 million. Much of the difference was made up in the AFL’s expansion states of NSW and QLD where the GF averaged 405,000 viewers in Sydney and 375,000 in Brisbane.

This is in stark contrast to the NRL which only managed 221,000 in Melbourne, 33,000 in Adelaide and 75,000 in Perth.

3.31m with regionals

Here's the ratings for 2010, the last time the NRL and AFL had GFs that didnt involve the swans or storm. I wonder how next Sunday will pan out?

Hers the last 9 AFL GF ratings which show this years results were pretty decent in comparison to other GFs without Sydney involved.

Who cares. For a non swans game it rated more than most recent GFs, and ALL recent NRL GFs non involving the storm

I'm fine with that. A comparison of similar conditions would be interesting, but we know that won't happen because the AFL value the tradition of grand final day over ratings. But 3.6m for a Saturday arvo is amazing. I mean 80% share of viewers says it all. Normal Saturday TV ratings would be less than 1m for all programs combined probably.
