And now that the AFL GF has rated about 3.5m they are in 4th spot in 2013 no medal to speak of.........................................lets wait for the NRL GF and see if we cannot relegate them to 5th spot................

I think the ratings are good? It was never going to get the high figures you get when Sydney are playing. No matter what the nrl get there will be debate. AFL people will say if nrl are higher it will be due to it being on prime time Sunday night. If the nrl ate lower than AFL nrl people will twist the figures to make them out to be higher. Like guessing regionals or adding on nz figures etc. I still think on 5 city metro... The only real figures to go by, AFL should get higher... But if not its no big deal as both grand finals are simply marquee events like the soo. People will tune into such events ... Look at the figures for Sydney for AFL... There is no way AFL is that popular ... The week by week figures (up by 63 percent... Although low base) is the real indicator
