Your game went from 4.30 to 7.00. Ours from 5.15 to 6.45 and got 243k slightly below our average for that timeslot
yes your STV game outrated ours on this occasion. There's been 5 in that same time slot and we've won 5 of 5

A few things I'll say about this:
1. the suns have a small following
2. Perth get all Docker games on FTA so their fans dont need STV
3. there is 9-10 hours of AFL on Saturday so ratings for all games will be less than Friday or Sunday because viewers have more choices
4. AFL fans in all states bar Victorian and Tasmania can watch their games on FTA so subsription rates for STV is lower in those states
5. The Suns are the 17th AFL club. Just because they rate below our average doesnt mean the 16 clubs above them are less popular or rate worse. Our 17th club rates a lot more than your 17th club
There's been 5 in that same time slot and we've won 5 of 5 .

The Suns do have a small following that's why they wont be playing in the major timeslots anytime soon.

Aah that's a new but, But excuse.

Tasmania get around 4 matches a week, you really are desperate

Is that an admission that the NRL  on STV?

There are more than just 1 or 2 AFL clubs that don't rate.
I'm happy to concede the NRL is on average more popular on STV, but there are good reasons for that. Most AFL fans dont need foxtel because their teams are on FTA so foxtel subscription rates are lower in AFL states. Add to that there are very few AFL games exclusive to foxtel which reduces their ratings. Furthermore, the AFL wins most foxtel comparisons on Friday, but showing 9-10 hours of games on Saturday reduces the ratings for each game overall, because few if anyone will watch all 9-10 hours of sport in a single day.

For me, this overall debate on ratings is about which code is more popular in Australia. STV figures are clearly effected by subscription rates so far from an ideal measure of overall popularity

What about Brisbane with 19 0f 24 of there matches shown on FTA ? Or the rest of Qld for that matter who have almost as many.???

And ratings wise isn't it the ideal situation for the Crows or the Swans to have all 22 matches Shown on FTA and PTV as well?

The viewer is watching on fox or they are watching on FTA . You have more matches yet we get more ratings each and every year. Wow

Ive already shown how concurrent games reduce stv ratings by an average of 100k, so suggesting the conditions over a year are comparable is simply disingenuous

It seems changing channels all got a bit much for the AFL faithful on Friday night. It appears they simply just gave up. :(/ :(/ :(/

4.75m for the round.

I guess they must of been embarrassing. No mention of TV ratings again this week from Wookie. He only talks about crowds.

Yep. It's a tad strange that just when the AFL has a big drop in ratings Wookie stops reporting on it. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt & trust he brings us up to date at some stage.

I also noticed that the AFL's round 5 2017 got a massive 6M in ratings. It was easily the biggest week of the year for them. I'd like to know what R5 this year got but I'd bet it was way less than that.

We aren't stupid enough to foist another team in a city that already has one .

One point for your rampant stupidity .

but it does bring the giant'r figures into perspective.

Anyway, the NRL is too stupid to introduce another side into Brisbane let alone an expansion city
