14 games over 1m vs the NRL's 6, and we've had 3 fewer rounds.

This shows the difference in popularity between the codes perfectly

No, it's embarrasing for Nine, who pay a lot of money for a supposedly 'top rating' program(s).

Full stop.

😂

SEVEN’S AFL: THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL Seven Network 588,000 24,000 287,000 33,000 171,000 74,000

Add ~ 200k for regionals and this game will probably be another result over 1m. Pretty decent for a Thursday night game again

It was over 1m 👍

But regionals were 185k.

Total audience was helped by a big number on Foxtel (around 260k).

no it does not at all...

remembering NRL has 5 exclusive games on FOX each week...

where half the time they are the better games..

And we also have many games shown concurrently that would get over 1m if shown in isolation. You nrl fans are full of excuses

If you add up ratings for the best rating 14 games of both codes RL will win easily. Of course the fumblers will strike out rep games but it won't change the facts.

NRL games never get 1m+ total viewers.

Because:

1) Much lower 5 city metro audience.

2) Lower Foxtel ratings (especially Nine's simulcasts, viewers still warming to new "Fox League" channel?)

--

Last night's AFL game should've been 400k in Melbourne & 200k in Adelaide, given how amazing/nail biting the whole game was.

Affected by Thursday & people thinking it wouldn't be good.

Upset of 2017?

yeh judging by the odds Hawks at $7.00
they played really well (hawks of old almost)

plenty were backing the +50.5
Big upset.

Crows need a top 2 finish (can't win if they play geelong in a Semi in melb

League channel I'm guessing in its first year.. it can only improve..
but by how much (hard to say)

pick one game

Example a few weeks ago Ess v Rich would easily have been over 1m if shown on FN. That's only one example.

You're way behind for games over 1m and scheduling has nothing to do with. In fact I'm sure youve had way more FTA games shown in isolation in prime time given you have more rounds and most Thursdays. Yet youre getting flogged

PTV ratings for both codes go down when the game is simulcast on FTA. You Saturday games weren't ours were, hence the difference.

Go to the following day when our PTV game smashed yours, mostly because our game wasnt on FTA and yours was.

Excuses?
