A strong competitive Suns team will always blitz the coke titans in crowd figures.
The Suns need to stop other clubs from poaching their potential future stars.
Pull your finger out AFL and show some leadership, ensure that new clubs can keep hold of required players for as long as needed. I'm a Suns fan but have zero respect for players that defect.

Oh so you want to compromise the comp even more than it already is by getting AFL house to stop players being poached
You fumblers really live in a bizarro alternate universe .

Gold Coast Suns have to ‘start again’ otherwise they ‘will fold’, says Lions great
I’ve lived on the Gold Coast for the last five years, they do not care about this team at the moment
If we don’t give them help to get them back on track, they will fold and it will be an absolute disaster for the AFL.
“They’ve got to make them competitive.”
If they do not have concessions, special concessions put in place for their list build, they have no hope,” Brown said
https://www.foxsports.com.au/AFL/gold-c ... b9d539aaea
(so I wonder if the AFL will give them (SPECIAL CONCESSIONS) lol

Geez how many concessions do they want? They've had 200M ploughed into them thus far plus a generation of the best young players handed to them on a platter.
These so called expansion teams are another massive problem for the AFL in this dark year. The Suns are a basket case & GWS, despite on field success, are drawing miniscule crowds & have zero following.
The ranting AFL fans say the game has so much money they can afford to keep these plastic non entities going for generations. Given the crash in tv ratings that that claim is looking rather spurious lately.
The problems are mounting daily for the AFL.

Generation.......

It was a few drafts. As the giants have shown, you can be given all the young talent in the world but it doesnt guarantee success

that's the risk the AFL took putting a second team in an expansion city. The same or worse would happen to a second AFL club in Melbourne. Maybe it is time to pull the pin on the flailing suns. They wouldnt be the first sporting club to fail on the GC

the Suns and giants were expansion projects over decades not years. No point in even trying if they werent prepared to give them at least a successful era on field

quite crazy to think>> that with all this help and money poured into there little history of existence
they are in deep crisis..
I say lucky for expat supporters going to the games>>
do the math 200mill + SUNS 150mill + GWS
at this rate by 2025 it would of hit 1 Billion dollars for 2 expansion clubs

I don't know if AFL would have the Ball$ to pull the pin on the SUNS>
AFL do not like failure (like most business)
abit like the USA in WAR
#Vietnam
NRL will no longer prop up clubs like they used too..
Making a stand like world sport>>
if you cannot stand on your own feet>> goodbye

which I imagine was factored into the equation when their introduction was conceived. As I said, it takes far more than draft picks and cash to be successful. How can they possibly compete with power clubs like the big 4, Crows or Eagles? The giants facilities are apparently very substandard. Their recruits are mostly interstate and the draw to return to an AFL heartland state is strong. They will need many years to stabilise as a club. Whether the AFL will be prepared to wait that long will decide their fate

if they eventually succeed it will be. If not it will obviously have been a waste. I can see the giants getting there eventually, in a few decades maybe. I cant see the suns being a success on or off the field. GC is a sporting club's wasteland

Failing Suns send AFL an SOS
GOLD Coast has lost 19 straight quarters and the Suns’ chairman says the expansion club needs help. But what do some powerhouse Victorian rivals have to say about that?
Gold Coast are preparing to submit a request to the AFL for a wide-ranging rescue package, including a priority draft pick, more money and the introduction of a player-retention allowance
This could become a huge problem...
could the AFL clubs agree the suns need extra assistance ?
25.8mill in 2018 given by the AFL to the SUNS>
could this increase>> will the suns be handed more draft picks.
will the suns CAP increase further past the playing field of other teams
how far will the AFL go?

lol
They'll have no trouble doing this
This mob has no conscience
No integrity
They've had no trouble in the past rigging the comp.
Could never admit that tanking happened or was a disgrace that teams did not try .
They don't care how much the comp is compromised as long as they get the desired result .
Be it an expansion team is successful & expansion is seen as an enormous success.
Or outright lying about crowds to keep the success mantra going
They know that most of the cultists just nod & go along without question.
Lol we have one on here .
.they will prop the Suns up ..& I hope it costs them dearly in $$$$$ & more & more disillusioned fans .
