The old owners seemed to have given in attracting and keeping the crowds and local talent. so maybe hand it over to the Chinese and maybe they have some high tech advantage AI technology than can solve that mystery

So a crowd on the weekend of just 12,386 for a club that featured in the 2025 grand final is nothing to be concerned about. Fair enough and good luck to the potential buyers of the Melbourne Storm.
Good call beatup. An Australian sporting franchise that is worth $200M is probably nothing to be concerned about pal. Have a great day and keep morale high.

Dear oh dear makingdumbnormal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You truly have no idea how dumb your post is pal. Good luck living in the land of jealousy and envy. Reality is a hard place to navigate sometimes lolololololol!!!!!!!!!

BTW: Welcome back pal. It's good that you have re-emerged from your self imposed annual State of Origin meltdown period. Its good to close yourself off from things that trigger you sometimes. Luckily your exile period coincided with the NRL's new record TV broadcast deal. So you've escaped two massive trigger events in the one go. Good on ya pal and go well.

Don’t starts 2029
What will be the yearly revenue worth compared to the AFL one then?

What’s the break down of domestic, international teams and rep stuff?

The teams that the Aussie tax payer funded were a part of the increase of the deal also

you talked about it fair bit, and were really confident NRL would get nothing even close to the AFL...

NRL deal begins in 2028 Season ( 1.5 years from now)

no idea what NRL revenue will be by the time NRL deal starts>> but the NRL will be getting more tv revenue

5.3 billion is for 19 teams and it includes the NRL H&A Season finals and State of Origin and Women's league.
it does not include International Games. (world cup) 4 nations, pacific cup, ashes etc etc

Deal is to go higher in 2029 when the 20th Team is added and a 10th game (which is a clause in tv Deal contract)
speculation it will jump a further 200million (with 2nd NZ team the favourite) 5.5billion

depending where the 20th team is what i think is how much extra the NRL get's

( NRL will now be getting a higher paid Tv deal in years.

2028
2029
2030
2031

$1 billion more per year in CASH.

($600million) 290mill to PNG team (facilities team COE grassroots) 300mill approx to Pacific Nations for RL
AUSTRALIAN Government funded.

yes the AFL deal has already started 2025 to 2031 with the major increases coming as the deal matures due to inflation levels. the NRL starts in 2028 ends in 2034

if you break it down they are rather similar at face value already of what we know at face value with no real details yet. its easy to still draw the conclusion at domestic levels the AFL is and will still be further ahead

Correct the AFL did not take the highest BID, it was kind of equal >>>> 10 year bid from CHANNEL 10 at $6billion was quoted.
so it actually works out the same price per annum.

NRL are not getting anything from International they falls under the IRL (international Rugby League)

NRL tv deal includes Australia and NZ (that is it)

could be right.. they will be close in the end..

HOW THE NRL got close is amazing though, There is little advertising opportunities in NRL compared to AFL
It proves one thing>>> NRL is killing it at the moment.

Domestic Levels for Both have been drawn... NRL add's in NZ and State of Origin as material.
there is not much more

as in Domestic v Domestic product between the codes

Have to agree- NRL are going ahead in leaps in bounds it seems - I do think that AFL is doing better in non traditional markets of Sydney and Brisbane - than say, NRL is doing in Melbourne, South and West Australia. - but again, watch this space with a new team in Perth. V'Landy's should be offerred a shit load of cash to take over the AFL - god knows the current last few heads have been shit - AFLx anyone.

the cost to advertise is set at at the size of the potential market, eg cost to advertise in Sydney is far more than Perth would be main driving factor in setting the price of the overall deal of the domestic side

Temu Pete has made large efforts to sell the NRL to the USA and Buy the English rugby league and spoken about more teams, so unless we get the actual details of these

YES SYDNEY IS the highest
followed by Melbourne and Brisbane and than Perth than Adelaide etc etc etc

but when NRL is lucky to get 2 mins of adverts a half
and AFL is getting 30 second ad break every goal
it does not even get close to the mark, even if Sydney is higher.

It is not even that much higher than Melbourne.

Than add in Quarter Time and 3 quarter time, let alone Half time is 10mins longer.

 actual details, wow you just will not give in..

the details are as follows

NRL TV DEAL 5.3bill
20th team 2029
NRL deal includes AUS AND NZ

TEMU pete just blasted the AFL out of the water
