Re: NRL Las Vegas 2025
Regardless, I think this is a great initiative by the NRL - well thought out and executed - has the media interested and hits the target marker by having in Vegas. Rather than bag it for whatever reason, I think we should acknowledge that not only a good idea but a well thought out and executed one at that.

Re: NRL Las Vegas 2025
The AFL clubs get a good amount of coverage on the radio at least - news always seems to have on when Suns and Lions are playing and any updates - nothing like the NRL of course, but definitely coverage. And when i was in Melbourne most would know who Billy Slater wa and Cooper Cronk. Other players not from Melbourne - probably not - but same up hear I guess - I wouldn't know a RL player if I fell over them - but I don't follow that sport in the main - I know a few names - cause of the media naturally like the superstars (trying to think of one - but if someone said a name I'd know it .... guy from the panthers who wins all their games - Cleary - I am. also getting old and forgetting many things- but it did come to me). The wife was quite close to Alfie Langer's wife at one stage - and have been out when him and Wendel Sailor were out and introduced. And was introduced to Matt? Rogers a few weeks back. Nice bloke.leeroy*NRL* wrote: Sun Mar 02, 2025 5:41 pmyou could ask the same thing in Australia

In a 65,000 seat stadium, with the upper levels completely empty and the lower levels only partially full, there seems to be some creative (FAKE) counting going on there. The Thugby fumblers are saying 45k for the crowd attendance, but they are saying that the real crowd figure was more like 31k.
a pissy pants fumbler no doubt , has about as much of a clue as our resident forum village Idiot Bea Arthur
which is zip
nada
nil
45K all day long
The event was an outstanding success , & the envy of every sport in Australia
most certainly the 2nd biggest one in the land

NRL considering shortening Las Vegas slate in 2026 due to poor crowd numbers

Poor crowd numbers for the final match in Las Vegas have the NRL considering a re-think for next year's trip abroad. (Getty Images: Ethan Miller)
The NRL will consider cutting its Las Vegas program from four games to three next year, with Peter V'landys admitting fluctuating crowds have become an issue.

The poor crowd is right there underneath your noses, but you still refuse to believe it. lol. Las Vegas are the only ones to make money out of the Aussie ex-pats that went over there and spent money on the poker machines etc, lol.

Re: NRL Las Vegas 2025
Success? lol They had to play more than one game to try and generate some interest. Look at all those empty seats? You are having a dream and someone needs to wake you up and get you to join the real world. lol

That was a bad idea having so many games. They should have 1 NRL game and one Superleague game.Beaussie wrote: Tue Mar 04, 2025 9:12 amNRL considering shortening Las Vegas slate in 2026 due to poor crowd numbers

Nobody is going to sit watching a sport for 6hrs. The NRL are overcomplicating it.

Zero. local interest
Thousands of empty seats
American TV viewing numbers insignificant.
At least the AFL China games generated massive lasting interest and were embraced by the local sports loving public.
Bring back the Bears.

4 chinamen attended **** games over there , 4
& they were threatened with a gun

in NZ
the Major of Wellington asked the police to round up the ... skinny little white aussies in singlets , those on the field & off it ( no kiwis attended )
& escort them to the airport & ask them ( ney instruct them ) never to return.... ever

meanwhile
the NRL plays to 45K crowds in world class venues in the USA with fans from every corner of the globe
& TV audiences of 4 million plus in 4 countries .. including 400K in the USA.. wow
& launches its season to press coverage that essentially eliminates all other focus from every other sport in Australia
NRL vegas
a planet...
fumblers still caught in its orbit
