the 35 largest cwowds in the drops & singlets in 2024 are all in Melbourne & at the GGEEEEEEEEEEEEE

a one venue , one city sport

Cause it has the biggest stadium??? …… Listen - I thi k you can bring up some good points re: ratings for instance - but you really need to acknowledge that AFL generally gets better crowds - if you sell out the largest AFL ground in nsw, qld, South Australia I think it is fair to say the sport is doing well crowd wise. Seriously, if you would like people to take your points more seriously, and you do often have some good points, you need to acknowledge certain things were AFL does well - probably best if you choose what to argue more discerning maybe - you’re not on a winner with crowd sizes being down due to games being played in smaller stadiums (despite mainly being packed houses).

what a sad little sport it is     :(/ :(/
It just happens to draw more people to attend matches than the combined might of the NRL and Superleague

AFL 8.05m so far
NRL 4.2 million so far
Superleague 1,242m this season so far
Championship 227,000 this season
League One 49,000 this season

I dont even know how it is professional/semi pro clubs have so few attendees.

I think the response is because what you’re saying re: only filling grounds in one state is simply wrong. As someone who knows a little about research methods looking at raw data is poor statistics - something you might see by conspiracy nut jobs when quoting numbers say on Covid recently - cause it appeared to support what they were saying - but again - was shown to be amature hour research.

You may be better comparing say percentage of ground full for each game. AFL has another exhausted sales game - and there has been pretty full stadiums across the country for AFL .

Anyway - I know I wrote with hope of a sensible response or a balanced one - but expect the same. I think if you try and be a little open with your perspective instead of the usual Owelling NRL good AFL bad people here may take you more seriously. But it is hard to engage in sensible conversation when you refuse to be sensible. Anyway - I’ll say no more.

ah no
I know what you fumblers are like ... its the raw numbers & thats it

The NRL could have had another 30K at Accor on Sunday , had 4 sellouts filled everyone to capacity , but the only thing fumblers would have focused on is that our finals attendances were still waaaay less then theirs .. look at that cockhead sookie .. went straight there :(/ :(/ :(/

I mean what a pack of knobs .... when the GF's are played
theres 100K for the derping & missing & 80K for ours
but its
oh we're waaayyyy bigger & better cos we got 100K & you only got 80K ... :-k

Deal with it , your finals crowd have been abysmal ... by the raw numbers

You dont need em when the AFL more than accommodates all of yours lol

i really dont know how such a worldwide popular sport as yours has so few people attend it.

Well, I agree with you re grand final - both a full in the biggest stadium available - then it’s a draw - although I’d say for both that they will be full due to corporate - I think the finals before hand are the true picture of support from supporters.

But even you have agree that AFL does draw more crowds than nrl …
