They cannot bite the bullet and just Schedule State of Origin in a 1 month rep period mid season.

Totally agree, it would be such an easy fix. I”d go further and play it after the nrl season - it’s such a juggernaut that I think it would still do as well- and we don’t have the season proper compromised. Wasn’t Munster injured? Melbourne depleted losing in a shock to Manly….
