he Newcastle Knights Centre of Excellence is one step closer to reality with the City of Newcastle unanimously approving a development application for the Broadmeadow-based facility.


The Centre of Excellence at District Park is on land owned by Venues NSW on behalf of the NSW Government.

but there has been more talk with other teams in front of the Sunshine coast bid.

as it would control the district of Moreton Bay & Sunshine Coast.

The Canberra Raiders have officially opened the Huawei Raiders Centre in Braddon today, which signifies a new era for the club as they move into the new state-of-the-art facility.

Almost half of the projects budget was funded due to the wonderful support of both governments, with the ACT government contributing $5 million and the NSW government $4 million of the $19 million facility.

The Huawei Raiders centre is one of the largest and impressive high-performance facilities in Australian sport and is fitted out with several features, including a modern and expansive gym, hydrotherapy facilities, theatre, filming studio and modern facilities throughout.

NSW government support for the NRL’s boutique stadium strategy could result in the development of up to five new 20,000-capacity Sydney stadiums over the next decade.

According to the report, Brookvale Oval, Penrith and Kogarah are being considered for rebuilds and a new venue at Liverpool that could host several teams is also under consideration.

Very true Frederico!!!! As I have previously annunciated - the A grade, top of the range, rolled gold best option would be to build over central station a 70k+ stadium and forget the SSF and Homebush. But that ain't gonna happen so they shoulda made Parra the No 1 Stadium in Sydney with a 70k+ joint in the geographical centre of the city.

But that didn't happen either. So then we go to option 3.....................keep the dump at Homebush. Use it for GF, SOO, Bledisloe, Socceroos etc. Even fumbling if they want it. Then spend the monies saved by not rectangularising Homebush by building 5 20k+ stadiums in the suburbs. That is the common sense answer so it sure as shit won't happen.

Option 4 is put me in charge. Gimme a couple a $bill and away we go lolololololol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
