as we've seen, many racist incidents in the NRL go unreported, which means they are happening, we just dont hear about them. I would much rather a sport where players and fans take a stand against the few morons who think they can behave that way

Let's compare punishments for fans or media personalities in each code shall we .
Lol this will be a walk in the park
I'll start with mc chins v johns .
One made an ape joke on radio for all listeners to hear
The other was at a training session ..no media .no broadcast
Wet lettuce leaf was applied to which one .

we hear about these incidents so the public is at least aware. It's the continued failure by NRL fans and players to report racist that gives you the laughable idea the NRL isnt also significantly effected by racism. Maybe it's so ingrained that fans think action will be futile.

Inglis stands up against racism from a crowd member. NRL investigating crowd member to issue lifetime ban... thousands of NRL fans don't begin booing inglis at games and defending the racist crowd member.
Goodes stands up against racism from a crowd member. AFL investigates.. AFL crowds begin booing goodes en masse every time he touches the ball. AFL fans defend girl and attack goodes en masse online.
Its fukkin chalk and cheese yet still AFL fans on here defend. It's like they want racism to stay. It's disgusting unaustralian stuff and it only comes from our AFL fans on this site.
