what apology? I'm clearly correct. AFL and soccer balls react differently in the air because they spin differently, which is why different kicking techniques are required.

How can you be this stupid? Watch one of the international games and you'll see how the AFL players are all at sea when trying even simple passes or shots at goal.

I played Aussie rules, then when living in Europe hoooked up with a bunchbofbirish lads and played gaelic. The skills are identical. Drop punt, inside of foot, round the body, outside of foot can all be used and are used in both codes all the time. The handball is also almost identical. The different ball takes some hours to master regarding its size and weight but it's not freakin rocket science and the skills are the same.

I have watched the international rules and yes it is amusing to see how men being paid a million $$$ ++ to be a professional athlete are beaten by a bunch of men from a smaller country paid zilch you're right, your AFL lads are "all at sea"

Seriously get a grip. You claim the skills are "completely different". The handball with front of the hand is not a completely different skill to a hand ball with the side of the hand. A completely different skill to an AFL handball would be juggling and butt twerking you stoopid stoopid lil butt twerk nlol and to put icing on the cake Gaelic footy players will also use the side of the fist to handball

Here's a vid with about 50 drop punts. Prob less than the number of drop punts that occur in an avg Gaelic game but .. it more than proves my point and makes you look like a lil butt twerk again so I'm happy

They arent drop punts like an AFL kick. These kicks dont spin backwards gaining height, they spin forwards and drop. You've demonstrated the exact issue. The ball behaves completely differently

they are different because the normal technique wont deliver the ball to a target in the same way. Huge adjustments need to be made

Lemme break down the skill of an AFL drop punt for you.

1. With one hand guide the ball with the point facing straight downwards towards the foot you wish to kick the ball with.

2. Drop the ball so that the point of the ball connects with the top bridge of ur kicking foot.

3. Keep head over ball and swing through kick

Now for a Gaelic footy punt you follow the exact same procedure except you don't have to worry about guiding the ball with the point facing downwards

the kicks you showed are not drop punts, they are different. The round ball spins forward and drops quickly. The oval ball spins backwards and climbs.
