Mifsud made claims about what Rendell said, and Rendell did the same, so it's one word against another. So who do we believe?
For Midfsud to be correct the number of indigenous recruits would be on a steady decline and there is no way Rendell would have informed the AFL indigenous officer of his racist policy for fear of losing his job.
For Rendell to be correct the indigenous recruiting rates would have remained the same in recent years, and he would have approached Mifsud with concerns, not baring his racist soul.
It's pretty obvious who's words to believe

They weren't recruiting many at all ..very few
My guess is that after this little episode the AFL would be putting pressure on clubs to have a certain number of indigenous players recruited .
Make sure the image is restored .
In fact I'd bet on it .
But there's no way it'd ever come to light .any poor honest bloke who utter a word about it would be on the unemployment line next to Randell .

No, having numerous AFL players from NSW and QLD, and decent sized grass roots competitions in Sydney and Brisbane is genuine expansion. The Lions, Swans and GWS are recruiting locals into their teams through their academies. That's expansion

I never said we had a higher proportion of players in our comp, I said our latest recruiting trend shows higher proportions. This refutes your claims of racist recruiting nicely
And the proportions are only different by 3% which is probably only a handful of players overall. We would have more players given our we have bigger lists and more teams

One year there were fewer indigenous recruits. Big deal! In some years Tasmania have few recruits then some years they have a number. Maybe AFL clubs are racist against Tasmania too. Could that be one of your guesses?
