LOL, more people watch any of those comps than have watched womens AFL competition, oh thats right you don't have one.

Kind of the point really.
Football in NSW
- Football 200,868
- AFL NSW/ACT 28,468
- Rugby League 96,041
- Rugby Union 40,685
Football has 22% more players than the other football codes combined

And any amount of individual sports or doubles or medleys as in swimming, Tennis and whatnot.

No AFL tho.

Hey wook
You could add Softball to that list as well.

Even Camogie (which is the female version of Hurling) is televised in Ireland.
Oh FFS give me a break no one watches women in these sports on tv either with netball being the only exception. Even the female soccer gets nothing but crickets no matter how much they try to force it down people's throats!
So no one watches 'these' sports, but by some miracle you think AFL womens comp is so different. Despite the fact that you have clubs headed by Misogynists, a male in the crowd punching a woman in the throat, countless ex players behaving inappropriately to females.

But yes, Womens AFL is going to be so different LOL

Yeah it is good.

Pity the French didn't send a team, they really need a cleanout, or sorry they just had one but you'd think in the time they'd have been able to get enough money together to send out the womens team, quite sad the state the game is in over there, really needs new blood without any old ties, someone not afraid to rock the boat.

Ruggers how many national womens comps are there, not just national teams. The AFL has a national team that competes in the international cup, the only difference is crowds and tv. But given we now have that in our national comp it sounds like its just as relevant to Australians. Certainly women playing RU is a good thing (or any other sport for that matter) but everyone getting upset that womens footy appears to be going great is just pathetic.

Every country that is listed has their own competition, some national and some just local clubs. But I'm not sure how my post in anyway shows that I'm upset about woman's AFL going well. I was just simply replying to the league post. So calm down mate

Yeah Rugby definitely dominates League in France at the moment. Needs a lot more grass roots support.

Just because a comp isnt televised doesnt make it pretend. 18 separate countries with no Australian nationals in their sides - amateur status doesnt make it any less of an international event. However the AFL must be cognizant of the pretend world cup status because it doesnt even call its even a world cup, but an international cup.
An AFL state of origin concept in the off season would make more sense. I don't know why they don't do it instead. Would get tv coverage, revenue etc..

People would have it if it didn't compromise the comp proper. I would be pissed if my team lost a gun player due to an injury in a game that means nothing to me. Or, my team list a few games because all the best players were out.
