What has that got to do with anything - my point is under McIntyre system 1st plays 8th which if they lose really upsets the apple cart and changes you playing at home etc etc. it was a complicated finals system - now with the present system there is a greater chance of top 2 going thru to the GF. I wasn't trying to claim the origins of a final 8. Geeze you'll argue about the most inane subjects.

The Broncos have made the finals in a staggering 28 of their 30 seasons... :)))
Yes but that have not one a premiership 3 times in a row or by massive AFL score margins twice in a row like Hawthorne.

The last two AFL grand finals looked like first was playing last going by the scorelines.

Oh FFS your grasping at straws!
No the only thing I am grasping is the true facts that you can't handle.
Just face it AFL is not a true international game and it never will be.
nor is the NFL, yet Im sure their fans couldnt give a shit
Correction dickhead Grid Iron is played professionally in two countries. (Canada & USA). NFL is the name of the competion in America.

Canadian Grid Iron

Only AFL is a one nation professional sport. Now that's the truth. :thumbleft:

Yes your correct
In Canada, the term "football" may refer to Canadian football and American football collectively, or to either sport specifically, depending on context. The two sports have shared origins and are closely related but have significant differences. In particular, Canadian football has 12 players on the field per team rather than 11; the field is roughly 10 yards wider, and 10 yards longer between end-zones that are themselves 10 yards deeper; and a team has only three downs to gain 10 yards, which results in less offensive rushing than in the American game. In the Canadian game all players on the defending team, when a down begins, must be at least 1 yard from the line of scrimmage. (The American game has a similar "neutral zone" but it is only the length of the football.)

Rugby football in Canada originated in the early 1860s,[2] and over time, the game known as Canadian football developed. Both the Canadian Football League (CFL), the sport's top professional league, and Football Canada, the governing body for amateur play, trace their roots to 1880 and the founding of the Canadian Rugby Football Union. Active teams such as the Toronto Argonauts and Hamilton Tiger-Cats have similar longevity.
If we can say RL is a different game to RU then it is safe to say there is sufficient differences to have Canadian football classed as a different code. Sorry NRLwelaughatoursmallPenises wrong again!

Everything your sport has it nicked from elsewhere, it's the parasite of Earths sports.

I think you'll find the arl had this top 8 a few decades ago, the fumbles stole it and now say they came up with it first even though RL had it before and have decided to reuse it again.

No....I have searched and can't confirm your statement that you have a final 8 first (not in NSWRL, ARL at least). So I think you better supply proof for this it just doesn't sound right.

NRL dumps McIntyre system

The NRL's McIntyre finals system has been scrapped in favour of the AFL play-offs model for the 2012 season.

In the first act of the new Australian Rugby League Commission (ARLC), which met for the first time on Tuesday, the finals format will change from the system that has been part of the premiership since 1999.

The NRL finals will be played under the finals system which rugby league used in the mid 1990s and is employed by the AFL - with the top eight split into a top four and bottom four for the first week of the playoffs.

The McIntyre system, used in the NRL since 1999, has long been a bugbear of many fans, claiming not enough reward was given to those sides which finish in the top four.

Is Canada not a different nation to the United States that plays Grid Iron professionally?

You claimed only Americans play it. Your the halfwit that got it completely wrong lol..

So in other words you can't use the argument that Grid Iron is a one nation code like AFL or Aussie Rules.

:thumbleft:
Gridion being played professionally in the country immediatly nex to the USA, where they play a number of other professional sports in US competitions, is hardly a sign of succesful expansion internationally.

So no, you fail
