How can you comparing a series vs 1 game
Much more sense if you compare our finals series to your SOO series or finals series.

NRL had 5 games with a crowd over 50k last year, the AFL had 25
NRL had 2 teams with over 25k members last year, the AFL had 16
The NRL hasnt had a single home and away game rate over 1.3m, the AFL has had 3 this year alone

I don't think anyone said it was the be all and end all but it sure is something impressive.

NRL has a Commssion Now and it is only going from strength to strength..
the facts don't liar..
since 2012 when the commission was done, the Tv rights deal
has rose from 550mill to 2 billion..
pretty good I say.

so why does every discussion with backward ball fans turn to SOO?
"We beat you week after week on Friday nights"
"But just you wait til origin"
"Another great crowd for the AFL and dismal showing for the NRL"
"But just you wait til origin"
Same shit every year

for me
Its not all about origin..
We have a great H&A season with some distractions along the way.. which does affect the season
and needs to be changed.. in the future..
Our H&A season avg 16k and great weekly round tv audiences.
You may win a few on Friday, but its not all about that.
one day you will figure it out ..
NRL (rugby league is more than our H&A season)
to you guys its everything... (that is because that is all the AFL have)

Its certainly the main show because its 7 months of the year, 9 games per weekend,......
If you asked most AFL fans if theyd prefer a few rep games per year for a weaker home and away competition overall Id expect the answer would be an overwhelming no

if it is done right REP games are great.
in the NRL it is not done well and interrupts the season , it needs to be stand alone and have its separate window.
Think of this if THE NRL pulled its finger out and held it on a stand alone. etc etc
it would only make the H&A season more efficient and excel better.
for the mean time, we are held back abit
if the AFL had rep teams and could play state vs state and country v country and didn't affect
the H & A season,
they 100% would, but they cannot.

they will not because in essence a state v state game means nothing to players and fans in comparison to club games. An artificial team of local players thrown in to a team without a passionate following would be destined to fail. SA v Tasmania in AFL SOO would get very poor support from players coaches and fans. But without having all states with many AFL players included in SOO its just as meaningless

Is in this country tho, what else outrates it and averages better crowds, nothing that is, not the Kangaroos, not the Wallabies, not the Socceroos, and especially a club game in any code outside a grand final and that's because those two are institutions out here, nothing else comes close.

It doesn't. We beat you at club level, as you already are well aware and when Origin is added we smash you.

so the NRL has bigger crowds, more revenue, more national coverage, higher rating games, and more members?
