Yep, and you saw the start of it last week and you will see it again on Tuesday night. Channel 9 are showing the Socceroos qualifying rounds.
Um, your point about the Socceroos is? :?>

This will be hilarious. A-League is worth shit without the Socceroos. :(/ :(/ :(/
A-League TV rights to be sold separately from Socceroos

THE A-League TV rights will be sold independently for the first time, with FFA blocked from bundling Socceroos rights into one package.

The unprecedented step leaves uncertainty around the A-League’s broadcast value, with the current $40m-a-year TV deal inclusive of the first phase of 2018 World Cup qualifiers and the 2015 Asian Cup.

You asked if there was any commercial interest, and I answered. To the very recent history (as far as I am aware) the Socceroos (non qualifying games) and the A league was all in one. They have now separated them for the upcoming negotiations, the qualifiers are separated again because they are controlled via FIFA's negotiations and are held currently by Foxtel, who have now onsold them to Channel 9, hence why I bought that up.

I could point out why would you ask a question when we are in contract at the moment so the answer is of course there won't be. But we all know that and we all know that you are just trying to deflect away from what was a great result on Saturday night.

As for your comment the A league is worth nothing without the Socceroos, we will see won't we. If you are right the new TV deal should be worth less than the current $40 million. AS under the new deal it won't include the Socceroos.

So if it is more (which EVERYONE says it will be, then you will be wrong. So happy for you to apologise after it is announced, what do you think my chances of you admitting you were wrong?

The strong rumour is Channel 9 is the front runner for Free to Air partner, with 2 games per week. Pay TV either Foxtel or Bein. Foxtel has gone hard to make sure Optus doesn't beat them.

All the money is on it being well above the current deal (which included Socceroos, the new one wont)

Would be happy with $70 million. Crowds and tv viewing figures have been good so far this year.

$57 million per year PTV for 6 years, Free to air and digital to follow in the new year. So I think I said $60-$70 million about 6 months ago, so there you have it. Good result

At least $80 mil. (ie double) Bidding war between Optus and Foxtel, with foxtel desperate to hold onto the rights (as it is the A League subscribers that boost the rest of the football they offer) With probably Chanel 7 winning the push for the free to air on Saturday night.

Funny how overseas TV manage to find ways to advertise in a football match...........Just saying

LOL Beaussie, you claimed the A-League is worth Shit without the socceroos, well looks like you were made to eat your words. The price has significantly increased yet the socceroos were taken out of the equation.
