NFL is ignored around the world, yet dominates so well in its country it doesnt matter. The AFL's strength in its own country far exceeds the benefit of minor expansion overseas

Grid Iron is played professionally in Canada too so that arguement does not wash.
Only AFL has ZERO interest outside Australia.

Then why does it try and try and try, only to laughed at and ridiculed - just like the ugly little kid sitting in the corner that no one wants to dance with

Canada is hardly a massive expansion given how closely they follow the USA culture.

So, come on, give us your reasons and so will I

why not try? If you have the money to do it why not? The AFL obviously know they will never get a professional club in another country without grass roots following, which takes decades. So it only makes sense to start slow.

Look at RL's growth in Australia. RL participation numbers in AFL states is incredibly small, and last night' NRL rated only 16k from Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth combined.

Tell me, how can the AFL grow rapidly internationally when the NRL cant even grow nationally?

there isnt enough support outside Australia to start an AFL club. Their only real purpose is getting some grass roots game growing, which takes decades. RL in AFL states is a perfect example. It grows incredibly slowly in AFL states despite decent exposure through SOO

Facts are facts though. You said NFL is in just the USA. But the fact is the actual sport Grid Iron is played in and popular in two seperate countries.

So you made up bullshit without knowing.
New Zealand has a culture similar to Australia like the USA and Canada do.
Tell me why there is no professional Aussie Rules comp there?
AFL has been available to NZ nearly as long as Australia and still NOTHING lol.

Come on what is AFLs excuse? Where is AFLs reserve grade team in PNG like Rugby League has?
Where is AFLs Pacific Nations test?

The number 1 sport of the most influential country in the world has only managed to expand their game to an immediate neighbour who plays in their ice hockey, baseball league. Thats a very poor excuse for expansion.

Australia has basically no international influence given our remoteness and size so international growth will be extremely slow. Similar I suppose to RLs failure to grow their game across Australia given their only presence is in 2 states

New Zealand is next door mate. If AFL was a good sport they would have played it professionally and liked it like other codes.
Does'nt matter where a product is from. If it is good it will become international.

Clearly that i definitely the case with AFL. Too shit a game.

SA and WA are within Australia mate, and share a population around the same as NZ. Why havent they got professional RL teams? Too shit a game?

Give it time mate. Rugby League has professional teams in 4 countries while AFL has just 1.

And the fact NRL matches consistently sell well when played in Perth is more than I can say for AFLs effort in Wellington.
