Which ever way you look at it. Having 3 massive goals in a game of football is beyond stupid. This is why AFL is the only sport that has this.

Re goals... As long as both sides have the same goals it is all relative. Look at basketball for instance. Lotsof scoring. Scoring based on difficulty, gaelic football also has scoring zones for goals. To be honesti do not think goal scoring is the pariah you may think it is. You have to stop comparing a goal in AFL to a conversion or feild goal i rl or ru. I think that may be where you fall down. I used to make the same mistake with rl... Comparing it to aussie rules ... They are two totally different games. Maybe the history of rl and ru supporters aguing the merits of each of their games... Given the similarities , is where this comes from. Once i stopped trying to judge rl by AFL standards ot through an AFL lens, i can enjoy it much more. If you dont like AFL that is fine, but i am not sure of the point in trying to convince others who do like it to to not to?

Population of Fiji is 880k population of WA is 2.5 mil both are 4 hrs roughly away from Sydney - average monthly wage is $3500 a month in Aus the average full-time monthly wage is $6100. By all means be happy about Fiji but the fact remains RU is their number 1 sport and the reality is they will bring little if anything to the RL in Aust!

Bring in players with an attitude directly relating to Rugby, that's all that is being tapped into nothing more nothing less. There will never be an NRL team out of Fiji, Tonga, Samoa or any of the other small island nations, they just have not got the population or money to make it viable ever unless the sea levels drop and the Islanders get to breeding more. PNG is a different kettle of fish, they have everything needed but are still a little rough around the edges.

Fiji having a team in the NSW cup will allow the NRL clubs to pick, poach and stockpile plenty of potential the same with PNG until they eventually get their own franchise. NRL and ESL clubs should really start seeing an uptake over the next few years as more and more young Islanders see Rugby League as another way to escape from where they currently are earning decent coin setting up their and their families lives.

Just because it's not in Australia doesn't mean we should ignore it, they play the game to a high level, they watch it in big numbers and they actually enjoy the game, the complete opposite could be said of WA, so leave it till then when someone at the NRL eventually decides WA needs some much needed attention (same with the other outpost states). Before then tho, there are plenty of places that need attention that do actually like the game, I think those places should come first, get them right then force it down the throat of the heathens living elsewhere in this big brown land, hopefully they'll have been fumbled out by then.

You can run and bounce the ball in RL, but why would you do that?

It's slows you down for a start and secondly, running and bouncing the ball backwards just doesn't seem to fit in with going forward because you have to actually run away from where you are supposed to be running, sort of cowardly, let the fumbles bumbles and stumbles keep it, it suits that game just fine.

I don't care about the money or that union is number 1

Rugby League has a following there, and can become and even bigger nation in the game.

It has already started over the last few years,
regards to players playing league, players getting scouted
and them entering a team they have huge potential

FIJI MEN are very talented sportsman
the speed the agility the strength the skill

they suit Rugby league and there is already a fair few that have made there mark. =D>

Hahaha I agree with most of what you said with one difference - to have a side in the NSW cup will be a drain on a club from FIJI or the NSWRL either it will work or be a drain on resources - they already have access to a lot of players from NZ where Fiji players end up if their any good. WA on the other hand has the resources and population to support a side but I don't really care either way. In closing to have a side in Fiji just for the sake of a side from somewhere else is pointless.
