No because your criteria is an unmeasurable where do you pluck it from?? What kids play in school yard - geeze may as well be basketball, but that doesn't make Basketball the most popular it is a contrived argument to prove a point that is impossible to assess hence you can't accuse others of being wrong when you can't prove your right!!AFLcrap1 wrote:& I listed what criteria for being the most popular .
Across Australasia RL is the most popular .
Most participation would be soccer ...not by much .
But as for other interest .....RL wins .
You just can't accept fumbles & bumbles having little to no interest outside Aust
Which is the Most Popular sport in Australasia?

Lol .
You just keep ignoring the criteria .
Why is that .
Is the sport anational sport of a country ..
Are therePro or semi pro comps in nations other than Australia .
Are there Multiple players from island nations playing in the premier comp ....followed by their countrymen
Are these comps televised over there ....
Is there a national team to get behind in international matches .
Are there teams from other countries other than Aust in comps or state comps comp in Aust .
Is the sport Played in schools
Are the international matches televised.
You just keep ignoring the criteria .

And again even by your highly manipulated criteria it is still soccer with RU coming second - you are a flog - I haven't claimed AFL is number 1 in this thread aside from crowds, revenue and memberships but it's time for you to prove post the sources otherwise your a lying sack of shit!AFLcrap1 wrote:Lol .

Is the sport anational sport of a country .. Solomon, New Caledonia and Vanuatu for Football (Soccer), PNG for RL so Football wins
Are therePro or semi pro comps in nations other than Australia . New Zealand and New Caledonia for Football
Are there Multiple players from island nations playing in the premier comp ....followed by their countrymen
Are these comps televised over there .... Don't know
Is there a national team to get behind in international matches . Yep for all countries in Australiasia there are National teams
Are there teams from other countries other than Aust in comps or state comps comp in Aust . Yes
Is the sport Played in schools Yes
Are the international matches televised.
All my answers in Red are for Football (Soccer) added to that, it is also the most Played sport (and by a LONG way despite what you think AFL Crap it is by a LONG way) in all of the countries except PNG.
So based on your criteria there is little argument that the answer is Football, I know it wasn't the answer you expected but it is the right answer, you know it makes sense
Football in NSW
- Football 200,868
- AFL NSW/ACT 28,468
- Rugby League 96,041
- Rugby Union 40,685
Football has 22% more players than the other football codes combined

I could add are the professional semi professional teams able to compete at International events in the case of Football the answer is yes. The best Club teams in the various National competitions are able to play in the OFC champions league Auckland City are the current champions, the OFC champions then play in the FIFA World Club championships held every year between the winners of all the federations Championships.post_hoc wrote:YesAFLcrap1 wrote:Lol .

So how about that as a measurement criteria? Do Clubs from those competitions have the opportunity to play the best clubs in the world?

Who cares?AFLcrap1 wrote:& I listed what criteria for being the most popular .
Like most NRL 'fans', sitting on your bum at home and watching a game on TV may be your definition of 'popular' but it certainly isnt mine.
So all you've shown is under your definition RL is more popular. Congratulations on convincing yourself

King-Eliagh: ...I believe [RL] is popular in all the other states and territories, bar tasmania.

Disagree, I actually think under his criteria he has shown Football (Soccer) to be the most popular.Xman wrote:Who cares?AFLcrap1 wrote:& I listed what criteria for being the most popular .
