Okay so the monday is missing still, am i missing something here? So we will never know what round one % increase is until the next week rolls around and the numbers roll over?

NRL plays on Mondays this year, any chance you can complete the NRL graph on the Tuesday thus giving us a accurate reading.

Also wookie Eels vs Broncos on Pay Tv was

LIVE: NRL EELS V BRONCOS STV 219k not 210k

Ill be more active on footyindustryAU twitter this year with stuff like that too.

Its a good sign for tv, but its only part of the picture. The NRL has been pushing crowds and memberships for the better part of 5 years now, and attendances are not gaining traction, and these are almost as vital to club revenues as the broadcast side of things.

Still early and all that, we'll see how it all looks comes origin.
FootyindustryAU twitter....might have to give that a follow. :D

Crowds unfortunately will continue to be what they are with the 5 days of NRL. Thursday and Mondays being the killers for crowds.

Next year its down to 4 days a week and no Mondays so i guess the real test will be next year.

I wonder if Ch9 now showing matches in High Definition has anything to do with the low
Fox numbers.

Good Point.
it Definitely goes against fox, that now 9 has 9 HD

where as in the AFL still shown on 7 SD (which would make more people switch over for FOX HD)

Rnd 2 Friday game last year rated 1150. Assuming media week have their figures correct those ratings are dissapointing again for the only sport on fta at the time. Plus it was a close game.

What was the crowd? 11k or something i believe. Thats disgraceful for 2 Sydney teams, with one being a well supported club

you do realize it does come down to who plays, and the 1 million mark is about average.

last years rd 2 game was 2 games together.
while 934k isn't the best its almost average.

lol I cant wait to the AFL season starts and I will comparing last rd to this years rd.

Last night was 2 of your finalists from last year in a close game. Surely you'd expect that to rate above average, not well below.

Also, are you conceeding that your 2 combined games on Friday night rate better than a single game (like the AFL show every FN)? :<>

Again wrong - Penrith finished 11th

it was close at the end, but wasn't close, it was 12 - 0 at one stage.

not really, penrith don't really rate high in the NRL

a comparison would be the Western Bulldogs.

also when the NRL did 2 Friday night games at one time
live in nsw one live in to QLD

it only means the Qld game would rate 100k more on avg because a qld team was playing

so for example Broncos play tonight it will prob rate 240k
where as last nights game rated 139k in Brisbane.

so a drop of 100k..
it doesn't boost it by that much, even know there were two games playing.

and when a Qld team plays a Nsw team in a big game that usually is big ratings.

12-0 in RL is like 2 scores to zero, so not exactly one-sided. The bulldogs are also a big club. Your excuses are fairly ordinary really. After a good opening game the rest of the games have rated pretty poorly despite fox

X-man try to get over it , every game is not going to get close to 1.3m. It wasn't great but it wasn't all that bad. Last year includes 40k from NZ also. Penrith averaged about 12k for there crowds last year so 11k isn't that bad for a Thursday night.

We have only had 3 other FTA games or are you talking about the 360k we go on Fox. In the opening 9 matches we have achieved higher rating games on FTA & PayTV than you got in the whole of last years regular season except for your Anzac day match.

sorry, but that's just plain BS. On ANZAC day we rated 1298k without the WA ratings. We also had a number of games in the 1.1-1.2m mark without all regional markets counted.

As for fox, you got 360k with a game that was exclusive to fox. Note how your foxtel ratings have plummeted with games that are simulcast? ALL our games are simulcast on FTA and fox so this affects out foxtel ratings

You gone off to early - except for Anzac Day. Even if you add in some regionals , which are mostly there, you still miss out. Didn't last years top rating matches get named in one of the newspapers with a full list of regionals? So there was just the one.

We will see about your latest fantasy also.

well the opening game is usually a high rater. As for the other games, there would have been a number in the same range when all regionals were added
