the only double counting that goes on is in AFL were you have two forms of coverage
Clearly the majority would rather see their state win SOO considering how shit the NRL crowds and tv ratings are in comparison. Sad don't ya think?
The NRL COMP gets shitty Ratings

Go Jump!
we Equal the AFL even with 5 exclusive games just on fox sports.
Remember the AFL only get on average an extra 16k per game...
The way the games are shown across the states and the scheduling are different in the two codes.
Lol s
The ratings are based on exaggerated numbers. And double counting for the some of the nsw and qld.
The AFL is ahead in every fact and figure yet you dipshits still try and argue that league is more popular

Typical Vichead... The NRL has less coverage than the AFL but on an apples v apples comparison the NRL wins on FTA and Payv TV. And rep football makes mince meat out of the AFL
Tv broadcast have there own unique sound. The only double counting that goes on is in the AFL , where the same game can be watched on 2 devices..
I regard orgin a distant second to the NRL completion , and I would that most if not all rugby league fans think that way.
Simple question prissycat!
Then why does the nrlol get less in the broadcast deals? Even with SOO and the rep stuff?
But but but the reply will be
Simple answer for a simple question-
it doesn't
But your feeble mind doesn't seem to be able to compute the information
The NRL has 72 club games on FTA + 9 Finals matches + about 10 other games.
The AFL has over 90 club games on FTA + 9 Finals matches.
The NRL has 120 matches on Fox.
The AFL have 198 matches on Fox.
Does this help?
Both organisations have negotiated there new FTA contract and we get the same result.
If you repeat something over and over again, when you know it is untrue. Then it is a lie! this makes you a liar - a very dim - witted one

But but but
Lol so insecure pissycat!
The nrlol deal includes SOO, rep & international stuff as well as h&a round the & afls deal is pretty much it's h&a round!
Word it how ever you want nrlol got and will get less!

The_Wookie wrote:There is no apples with apples comparison. Its that simple. anyone who says otherwise is lying.
And the simple answer is the AFL DOES get more per year for its broadcasts than the NRL. Thats a fact.
Comparing the average of 1 FTA match with 1 FTA match or comparing 1 PTV match with 1 ptv match is a lot more like apples v appleas than trying to comprareing 5 matches with 9.
For the previous contract we got 1.05b from free to air and PTV , 100m from Sky, 180m - sponsor ship. Though I suppose your going to tell me they didn't get that much from Telstra, despite Grant saying they got twice as much. The previous contact was known to be $90m! But But But, all the newspaper reporter said differerntly

> The figure was never revealed though.but they journo's new best

, So where does this leave the AFL's emergency fund? though I think the journos may be right on that one.

Showing stuff like the Qld cup is not something 9 would want do its is promotional and would , if anything, reduce the price. Unlike showing the Brownlow medal .

We can compare one simple thing, the fact that the AFL got more than the NRL from its broadcast income as published in both competitions annual reports. Beyond that kiss my ass.
Most reports quoted the lower figure. Grant never gave a figure, and it was never established whether the new amount included the 50 million rights deal or not, when we know the previous deal did.
Wasn't it published that john Grant 'said we got double what we previously got'. - other than it was never divulged so how in the fuck are you so sure the articles are correct?
what was it you had to say about all the media reports that there wasn't , and hadn't been for sometime $80m in the AFL's future fund?
What we can be sure of is that the NRL has got more than the AFL in the Next FTA contract.

And your so sure that there is 80m in the future fund
Assuming there is a couple of hundred thousand difference a year . How many extra FTA games? how many extra PTV games?

The AFL reports total equity of over 136 million in 2014 with 89 million in resrerves, 44 million in retained earnings and 2 million in interest. Its there in black and white, signed off by a proper auditor and everything - and Ill take that over media reports any day of the week.

Your the one makes good those claims!
The AFL report the one that gets sent to ASIC and signed off by accountants and lawyers, doesn't back up your claims
