its funny because, just because people have a job, responsibilities, friends and a life out side of TS, just because they dont sit behind the keyboard mashing away for 24 hrs 7 days a week, they are avoiding your replies!

simple things you need to understand what normal people do spazza! they have these things called jobs, friends, a social life, where you go out, meet new people, spend money & have a good time.

the job part is where we go to earn money & pay our taxes, so the government, has money for services like health and centerlink. with out people having jobs & taxes to pay, there would be no money for the services you require, like the disability pension and the special needs nurse.

All I ask is an answer to the question about your theory .

Now dumbo you made this claim

the TV companies when choosing to give out those rating boxes complete surveys then choose to distribute the rating boxes to which ever basement dwelling looser that watches the most TV during the week, so then the TV companies can then go to the advertisers & claim we have so many hundred thousand people watch out network,

My reply that you can't seem to answer

According to you .
Tv stations hand out ratings boxers to select people .
Knowing that they will watch certain programs .
Then try to leverage advertising dollars off companies with these fake numbers .

Here's where your theory is as about as relevant as all your other bizarre claims .

So once a tv channel has put out fake ratings to show how popular a program or sport is ,they then have to fork out hundreds of millions of dollars to buy the rights to that sport .
Why would they artificially inflate the popularity of a sport when it will drive the price up ?
According to you they are paying big overs for something they know doesn't rate well ,but they lied about that so they could outlay far more than it's worth .

Over to you ,to explain what tv companies would do that.
BUMP .
Come discuss what you clAimed .

It's no use deflecting .
I'll just keep asking .
Come on dumbo .
Grow a set you spineless skirt
& yet again dumbo rants in other threads but won't discuss his bizarre claim in here .

Step right up you gutless flea

I have bolded your claim many times & my question regarding that claim .

You still can't answer

On a serious note. You now how they have ratings for regional and for metro --- both codes-. Given the ratings are astatistical analysis rather than actual raw figures, is it as simple as adding the two figures together to get a total ... Being inferentiak statistics or is it more complicated than that?

There's a lot of misinformation out the ..usually sprouted by AFL zealots
Such as double counting .
It's impossible to double count.
You either have a metro box or a regional box .

As for the ratings . Not totally accurate ..but when billion $$$$$$ deals are done based on them then they have to be close to the mark .

.
I just find it hilarious that dumbo thinks that TV stations give ratings boxes to certain people knowing what they watch
Then try to sell ad space during the watched shows based on flawed ratings .
Then they can go & pay huge dollars for a product that they know doesn't rate well but they skewed the ratings so they could overinflated a products worth .

Any comment about this line of thinking.

I was wondering whether you could add the two figures of metro and regional together .. Whether this was legit ?

Yes why not .
A true indication( as true as you can get with this method) shows all TV viewers .. Not just metro .

There's a shitload of people in Reg Qld & NSW.

Oh no i am not meaning that. Of course add regionals but i guess if they are added thats okay.

I was wondering, and it may take someone with a more rudamentory knowledge of statistics then me, whether you can add the two figures, which are worked out using inferential statistics, together.. Whether it is that simple or does there need to be another step or whether it can ve done.

For instance, i just can not add two means together to get a total. Can we add two estimates? Are they worked out the same way with same formula for instance. Is the random allocation the same. Just interested to know.

Spazza has been neglected again in that basement!

Its been discussed many times spazza, including in the original post as to where your quotes come from!

But like usual you have no interest in discussing anything or even argue a point! , just mental rants with trolling in attempt to dominant some one, then puff your chest out to boost your little man syndrome
It's obvious you suffer a low self esteem & an inferiority complez that vents his anger for being picked on in the real world over the Internet.

On another note, i heard on the radio the other day thst the head of a major tv station has dispensed with ratings as a measure as cites them as irrelevant in this day and age. What they discussed afterwards was that due to streaming and other ways to watch ratings are apparently meaningless. I wonder if this is less so with sport as people want to watch live ?

Lol
You're claim has never been discussed .
You've run like a gutless dog for near 2 years .
I've asked multiple times .
I made this thread specifically to discuss your rating box rants that you post in other threads .
Yet you still won't discuss your claim or the question I've repeatedly asked about it .

But keep deflecting .
It highlights the lies you tell ...then run from .

Also, I didn't realise that you could turn the TV on and log in then leave it on all day, even fall asleep, and it still counts. With OzTAM anyway. One person works out to be about 3000 people estimated to be watching nowadays also ... Not 2000 due to more challenels and there is 5000 boxes across the country .
