Not only that, it might be made even bigger with 4 clubs from each comp playing each other in 2016 instead of the 3 from last time.
Which would make it an 8 teams in total fixture.

AFL guys fans may snubb their noses at this. But having another professional league outside Australia for top NRL clubs to test themselves against is something AFL will NEVER EVER HAVE.
I watch alot of Superleague matches and there still is a very passionate fanbase up North.

great Concept which will only get bigger
Last series great crowds and figures on Sky Sports.
look forward to this next time around. :D
Had record crowds for last years challenge cup, is healthy for the sport to have two professional leagues going.
Said to be long term plans to try to introduce more European clubs like the Catalan Dragons in France.
Some of these AFL guys like to try to dismiss it, but they know well Rugby League well and truly has it over AFL in the UK by a million miles.
Videos like this more than prove that it is in no means amateur.
Exactly True.
I am also a Fan of a 2 DIV COMP.

the fumblers They just cant stop Fumbling
Yeah the Fumblers are definitely jealous they have no overseas clubs to play against.
Aussie Rules is an appropriate name for the game, as it really seems to be a game just for some Australians.

It should be Called the Southern Football League.
And the NRL should be called the nswrl oh sorry they were but they really are aren't they!
NRL teams outside nsw - 6
AFL teams outside Victoria - 8
I guess that now settles this debate!
Number of professional AFL clubs outside Australia?? ZERO
Number of professional Rugby League clubs outside Australia. OVER 30
As well as over 248,000 registered rugby league players in England alone.
You do the maths now Swannie, which sport is just Australias game and nobody elses??

So what AFL is played OS just not professionally how this makes RL superior is anyone's guess considering soccer has thousands more professional clubs as well as RU as does cricket as does Basketball etc etc - your sport is relatively small in comparison to them yet I hazzard to guess it doesn't diminish your sports attractiveness or skill! If that is the case then you are a hypocrite - AF is just as relevant, just as enjoyable, highly skilful and thoroughly entertaining no matter how many professional clubs exist outside Australia!!!! But my point is still valid the AFL has more representation in Australia outside Victoria, AFL represented directly in 5 states NRL just 3 on the eastern seaboard. Again that settles that argument!
The fact AFL has no success gaining any serious overseas support despite trying for years says a lot about the value of AFL as a credible sport.
Points for missing shots at goal and constant drop balls does not equate to skill. And every other country sees that.
As for your arguement with AFL being in more states, it is a pretty dumb arguement when Rugby League has more teams and in a lot more countries than AFL.. Egg on your face again lol

The AFL commits very little money towards OS - so there goes that argument - most significant period of growth has been only recently thanks to the Internet and YouTube - so that just means those that have never seen it before become attracted to it when they do and destroys your argument - your problem is that you want Australia to be in reality England and for you to be put on some platform - you look down on Australians and anything Australian - and that's why you criticise a game you've never had the guts to try!

No I only look down on AFL, I like plenty of other things Australian.
Love the weather, beaches and food here.
Lots of your own countrymen on here think AFL is shit to lol.. That is real Australians taking the piss out of AFL and saying it's crap.
As for AFL not spending lots of money to gain international recognition that is totally wrong.
AFL wasted 1.5 million on an AFL ground in China to promote the game. Failed dismally of course and is now a dust bowl.
Then you have an AFL academy in New Zealand, millions spent there.
As well as an AFL international cup which is the laughing stock of international sport with zero tv coverage.
AFL is trying very hard, they are just failing hard too.

More evidence that this Expanded series will only get bigger
"Not only did we have great crowds, especially the sell-out World Club Challenge at St Helens, we also had over a two million people watch the World Club Series matches"
3 matches combind Audiece 2million on Sky Sports UK

Yeah there were some quality matches last year mate. So it is good to see they were rewarded with high ratings and solid crowds.

Plans are already in full swing for the expanded 2016 Challege series.

Now thats 666k Per game on PTV for WCC
EPL games ave about 800k per game
When you look at it that way those are great numbers.

Great figures.
Seems rugby league in England can rate really well when shown in prime time tv

Yeah I can see this competion only growing in popularity.
Winning the world club challenge is a big accolade for a Rugby League club.
Souths can claim they were the best team out of 28 clubs in four nations.
Sounds a lot better than AFLs single nation comp winner.

Very true.
Love the World Club Concept
meanwhile in ENGLAND
1.3m tuned in to see @leedsrhinos beat @Saints1890 in last night's semi-final on @BBCTwo. A 69% increase on 2014!

No other new clubs to play overseas in AFL. The little one nation code lol =D> =D>
2nd rate competition no matter where they come from is still second rate competition!
How can it be second rate when some of the best players in the NRL are from the English Superleague?
Superleagues Burgess boys helped Souths win the premiership last year.
AFL only has one one televised professional competition in only one country and always will lol =D>
Yeah and how many people really care - even when your own side is in it few attend or even care to watch - it's just another attempt by RL to make themselves think they are as big as soccer by imitating the champions leagues. But the reality is no one is interested!
If nobody cares why is it televised and has increased crowds and ratings?
Funny how AFL never ever gets taken seriously by any other countries after a 100 plus years of trying.
Even Grid Iron has a very sucessful Canadian league.

Not even NZ want your game.
Really says alot about how crap AFL is.

when you look at it that way,
Its quite Embarrassing that no one other country has given a rats about it.
I think unless you are brought up on AFL
there is no chance of you actually following the game.
the same cannot be said for Rugby codes soccer etc.
(another win for Rugby League)
English super league going great guns)
on the up every year, some kind of record being broken)
very well when you think its up against the ALMIGHTY EPL

Superleague is definitely punching above it's weight.
Yeah EPL is the mammoth of a league. Pretty much the envy of every football code.
