Pay an nrl player squillions to make AFL athletes look like dandelions swaying in the wind?

Their best bet is to thin the AFL comp of its good players and thus contribute to making the AFL a lesser product. They're trying that, I think it's up to about 8 senior AFL players who are now playing and weren't in the original squad of pimply nosed teens. They prob need another five or so, get it to 3/4 of the original starting lineup wiped out and they may have a team which can make it.

They're trying this and compromising the comp.

My advice would be to scrap em, cut the losses and head to darwin. But that'd be a smart move and the AFL don't like bein smart when it comes to expansion.
