Hate to break the bad news to you Nlolrl but you didn't! The broadcasters of Rugby League, Fox, 9 , Telstra and sky got us as much or more. And the commission were in there first year. in the 2 years since we have 4 of the top 5 programs (last year 1,2 and 3 so enjoy that silver medal
rubbish. 1.253m in Australia only. Oh and the SOO may win but on an NRL v AFL comparison the AFL wins

A Perth Game Shown Live in To Eastern States at 9:30pm will still get good ratings.
the reason it doesn't at the moment is because it is 2hours delayed and result is al ready known.
This can be done on Friday and Saturday nights.

there showing 2 live Games on Friday and the Saturday live game at 9:30pm
Which is Brilliant

It will be a Perth Hit in the crowds and the ratings for Friday Nights and good ratings off the back of live games in Eastern States.

They can also show Afternoon Games at 1pm in perth and Live at 3pm In Sydney on Saturday afternoon.
Sunday games Shown Live in perth 4:30pm Live in Sydney at 6:30pm sunday night.

PERTH Would be a huge asset.

extra Queensland team will just be Excellent bringing in more revenue as stated by Gyngell
Extra queensland team would ad an extra 100million He public Wants this and has stated this.
a game at 9.30 wont finish until 11.30. Sorry, youre dreaming if you think this would rate well. NRl supporters complain when their telecast is shown live at 8pm, so 90 minutes later would be a deal breaker for many.

You already have 3 QLD team, yet the Broncos are the only ones who rate in the mid 200's so adding another wont solve this

Perth rates terribly for RL, Having their own club wont change this any time soon
Your delusional if you think a Perth Rugby League club would not be successful.

They have financial backers already for a NRL team as well as healthy crowds whenever NRL games are played there.

Plenty of expats from NSW and Qld as well as the UK that would follow a Rugby League team in Perth.

West Coast Pirates are front runners for the bid too.

Agreed A Perth Team Would be GUN!
Be something totally different and time zone will bring more live matches at different times
ITS A A++++++++++

By A Perth Team coming in will affect the Force that's for sure..

THE AFL FOLK HAVE NO IDEA
THEY ONLY COMPARE the NRL TV RIGHTS to the AFL BUNDLE DEAL which includes everything..

when The NRL announced the Deal it was 1 Billion Dollars But that only included FOX AND CH 9
this was excluding DIGITAL / TELSTRA / Radio / Sky NZ
when including this, it passes the AFL DEAL only Just.!!

No it does not.

NRL Exclipes it when adding Sky NZ Digital Telstra and Raido.

also NRL achieved This with only 16 teams to 18 Teams!

and if you do not want to count NZ
Well than it is 15 against 18 teams

Sky paid its money Aus$ - Enjoy that silver.

You really do need to start thinking up some new excuses

And i hate to break it you you but the annual reports say otherwise.

2013 Reports (AFL 2014 one is due next week) comparisons have been posted before which show the AFL took more money in broadcast revenue than the NRL - $234.4 million to $221.3 million. Even allowing for the $4.5 million increase in revenue the NRL had this year to $225.8 million, they are still behind the AFLs 2013 mark

You enjoy that silver though. It looks good on you.
WOOKIE

is that including everything Though for Both the NRL AND AFL. ??

Digital / Telstra / SKY NZ / RADIO ETC because these four were done after the TV deal was announced.

AS the Digital / Telstra is around 150ml I think
NZ DEAL is 100Mill
Tv Deal is 1 Billion
So that's 1.250mll All ready..

Am I wrong or am I Right ?

Fair Enough..
But putting all the deals together, they are very close indeed.

Not worried about the last deal because the NRL got a lot more than money out of it even if 9 still runs the show for the moment. The next deal will be the one hopefully to hit a home run in regards to what, who and where the game is shown, the money will be there regardless.

I rememer reading an article in the Telegraph saying.

NRL games are worth $1275 per minute
AFLs are worth $1170 per minute

So TV networks are paying more to NRL for less game time than they do for AFL.

Yes
Rugby league is the most valuable sporting commodity on Australian TV

250 million a year for 600 hrs of VFL
230 million a year for 400 hrs of NRL

Wow
Just wow

the AFL broadcast deal is just for the H&A season
the NRL its for all internationals, 4 nations as well as SOO

nothing more than the usual chest beating exercise from the NRL flogs
your crowds and ratings are down of the last two years, while the AFL's is up
