Ummmm, Friday night whether you like it or not had a delayed game shown into qld and a live game in nsw, the ratings for that time slot suggests around 1.2 million were watching between 7:30 and 9:30pm.

The regionals were not far from 500k.

but it was still 2 games combined with one being a supposed blockbuster, and the other involving your largest club. Yet it is soundly beaten by a single AFL game involving 2 teams from one city, not shown in prime time, and by a margin in the order of 33%

You cant always look into that..

Think of it this way.. Brisbane game was played into Brisbane market and rated 220k

The sunday game on delay Roosters Souths rated 174k into Brisbane.

the Sydney games still rate pretty well in Brisbane..
Which is why I do not understand why the constantly put broncos on Friday Night..

How can they rate 200k higher? Brisbane has a population of 2m. A 10% viewership results in 200k, which is comparable to Sydney rating 450-500k, which is the most they get for a home and away game. If they rated 200k less for non-bronco games no one would be watching in Brisbane

rubbish. I showed you the figures for FN games not involving the Broncos, which were well below 250k, and these are still the combination of two games. Many weeks the NRL's 2 games lose to the AFLs single AFL game on FN when both metro, regional and FTA ratings are included

This is the NRL's pinnacle telecast, but its only one of the AFL's. They leap ahead once games with teams from SA and WA are included over the weekend

*also, you need to add in the NRLs flexible schedule where they arrange the best matchup for every FN. The AFL dont do this which gives them a disadvantage in viewers but an advantage in attendance
