Doesn't matter, if the numbers here are not up, no amount of numbers elsewhere come into it either unless it's the highest rating soccer comp world wide shown from this country each week and every other country pays millions to televise it because it's the best.

Far from it.

Yes parra ,we know that ,but the hooligans are not real bright.

I wonder if mr um ah gallop can waltz into tv rights negotiations & say we want double because countless millions overseas watched a cripple fight cup .

Tv exec....um that has no bearing on viewers in this country ,in fact the ratings are very ordinary for the AL .

Gallop ...but but but elsewhere.

Lol .lol lol.

Sounds about right.

Funny thing is, the s15 is going that bad in AUS, they are getting the same money from the UK as they are here LOL

NRL HQ, would love a TV Audience of 100 million for their product, you know it, I know it, and that is why you hate the fact that football is able to do it.

100 million people watching the Socceroos
This thread is about this country .
Stop deflecting about your fourth ranked sport & face reality .

Sokka was smashed in winter by AFlol & RL .
In summer it is obliterated by Cricket .
& your biggest game ever in this country will not make the top 5 sporting events this yr.
Might scrape in the top 10

Lol lol lol .

But but but but but elsewhere .
You said it yourself

""Your biggest game ever in this country" and yet you claim this thread is about this country.

As I said this game was played in Australia by an Australian team and watched by 100 million people.

No deflecting, you just don't like the fact because, 100 million people is something the NRL can only dream of
& the ratings in Australia were
very average
that's all that matters to sooker here

the 100 Mill mean nothing in reality
they can't help your joke of a sport gain financial security here
its quite simple
your deflecting from this point shows you are either thick as pig shit

or know we're right
but won't admit it
RL SOO II 4.194 Million veiwers
RL SOO I 4.068 Million
NRL GF 3.968 Million
VFL Grand Final 3.620 Million
SOO III 3.364 Million
NRL Prelim 2.219 Million
Kangaroos V NZ 1.214 Million

and yet it does, the 100 million is a massive bargaining point, huge exposure for Australian Brands, just like the ACL now the Wanderers have won it will be.

The NRL know it, but clearly the fan boys aren't bright enough.

100 million watched the socceroos
Football in NSW
- Football 200,868
- AFL NSW/ACT 28,468
- Rugby League 96,041
- Rugby Union 40,685
Football has 22% more players than the other football codes combined

Actually I would put the Ashes up above the two grand finals. And the two GF's can't be separated.

Well you let us know when there is any tangible financial benefit to soccer in this country as a result. Broadcast rights for the ACL and Asian Cup are held by the Asian Confederation not the FFA, so local soccer benefits not a whit. The Socceroos have massive support in this country - and thats cool - but it disasppears when they arent actually playing.
True that ,Wookie .
It disappeared right up Doc Mcstuffins clacker .

& the defending premiers last night got under 10 k at Suncorp .

Lol .
The slide into obscurity started with the cricket ,& continues on .

Rather strange statement their wookie. The support for the socceroos disappears when they are not playing? Rather obvious and not sure how you measure that. It also holds true for any sporting team especially National. How much support is there for the Australian Cricket team when they are not playing? or the Hockeyroos, or the Wallabies.

How do you measure support when a team is not playing?

It has a massive benefit, we are a global economy, we live in a globalized world, the fact that 100 million or more people have watched the Socceroos and Australia in general over this tournament is massive. The heads of the NRL and AFL know that, I know you are smart enough to understand that, the nrl fans boys on here on the other hand if they had an original thought, it would be lonely.

If the Ashes were on Home Soil yeah for sure.
But the two G.F will get more attention in Australia.
